AotR is a complete overhaul mod for Forces of Corruption. Inspired by the old RTS, Star Wars: Rebellion, AotR adds many features from this game and other titles, including a more in-depth mission system, tech system, and many new units! We are proud to present improved tactical combat in space, ground and galactic combat, and have also substantially improved upon the graphics of the base game. Immerse yourself in the Galactic Civil War era as the fledgling Rebellion, the oppressive Empire, or the opportunistic Black Sun pirates. This mod is not for the faint of heart and will test your RTS skills with a completely overhauled AI and set of difficulty levels.

@Aurora, I don't think this is possible for us to implement.
@Black Jesus, no, the building slots in AotR have all been balanced around tech being built. We want you to have to make hard choices about what to build in the limited slots you have.

any chance each planet could get an additional ground building slot then @general Brooks? just asking because the original planet slot numbers were made with tech being research. a small re-balance to allow for better gameplay, say 1 additional slot for the larger planets and 2 for smaller ones would be good for both ai and players alike

@Fenix074 Try using Tectors, ISD 1 shields aren't good enough to tank a shot from a plantary turbolaser. There's only a few ships that can withstand a shot from the turbolaser without taking too much damage like the MC Independence but the AI typically likes to kill heroes first so be careful about that. Also you could try to raid the planet and take out the power generator or the turbolaser itself. Another thing is its harder to hit ships when they are further from the planet so maybe fight on the opposite side from where the planet is stationed to try and reduce the accuracy of the shot.

Is there a way to get a grid UI or something in space battles? I often can't see units because of the planetary backdrops, stuff like Lancers and other frigates.

There a way to get an overlay that always displays the selection circles?
Same for the galaxy map. I know in the EAW-X mods theres a button to show planet stats at a glance, but is such a thing here?

@Fenix074, We're very happy with the turbo as it is, its supposed to be devastating. I agree on ground aircraft though for sure. Sadly it isn't possible to have an option to land them again.

Hello, this is to whoever it pertains to from the SMG: so, years ago, I was immature in the discord for AOTR (rightfully banned from what I remember) and was wondering if I could at least be able to view the disc all these years later? I am still a fan of the work SMG does, and would just like to be up to date with things. Again it has been quite a few years so I just ask to give me another chance, even if it is through a "view only" lens. I understand if not.

Hey, absolutely incredible work with the mod, I just wanted to vent my personal gripes from the empire campaign I've been playing recently. I think the planetary turbolaser could do with some toning down, the 1st time I tried to take Brentaal IV it was able to 3 shot Vader, which I thought was perhaps a little strong, then later I was able to use the one on Kuat to one shot multiple Rebel heroes in a battle that I should have by all rights lost.

My only other gripe is that some of the ground maps are too small for ground aircraft like rogue squadron or the field commander's TIEs. I try to keep them out of the range of flak and the like, but their idling circles are so wide they keep aggro-ing on enemy units and exposing themselves to fire. it'd be nice if there were a way to have them land again like how they do when they first deploy. Keep up the good work though, loving the campaigns I've played so far.
