Quick guide on how to setup a local play, which would allow players to load Ravaged maps on their PC for practice.

Overview

1. Start with opening your Ravaged client

2. Use the console key " ~ " or "End" to open your console.

3. You want to use the Command "Open Map_Name"

4. Map loaded. Close your console with the console key " ~ " or "End"

1. Start with opening your Ravaged client

End of 2015UPDATE: The basic commands should still work fine, they added the option to start a private lobby, load up a map from the new UI.
HOWEVER THE GAME HAS BEEN ABANDONED.

2. Use the console key " ~ " or "End" to open your console.

Note: You can use the "End" key on your keyboard this opens the console as well.
This option will open a console commnad line at the bottom of your screen like so:

3. You want to use the Command "Open Map_Name"

Type in the Command like so and press Enter.
This will load for us the map Hijack Dustbowl.

Note: not all maps have every game mode.
Here is a list of playable maps with their all their possible game modes:
CTR_Bridge
CTR_Bridge_Day2

CTR_Canyon_Day2

CTR_Derelict
CTR_Dustbowl

See that the game mode is the first part and the map is second like so "gamemode_mapname"
Here is what the shortcuts mean:
CTR = Capture The Resource
HJK = Hijack
TDM = Team Death Match
Thrust (node control)

4. Map loaded. Close your console with the console key " ~ " or "End"

5. Play

Now you can play, learn the map, learn how to driver switch seat, setup key or change keybinds or settings without getting blasted every second.
Also very good to practice flying the heli / copper.
Since you have no lag.

Note: incase your PC is pretty old or not so powerful. running the maps take more resources from your PC.
Open your console "~" and use the command "Stat FPS"
This will show your FPS on the top right.
Incase you drop FPS a lot and below 60 you might want to lower your overall setting.
If you're already running on everything low and you have around 10FPS all the time.
Sadly your PC is too weak.

such a shame that the game died and zomebie mode was ever implemented. if they had added LAN support or private servers the game would still be alive to some extent.

Have the developers done anything to add "AI" bots for single/private play modes yet? Since the zombie conversion to the game I have had any real interest in playing the game. And it is a real shame that the way they did the conversion did not allow users the option of saying NO to the conversion. I know I am not the only player that is tired of zombie based games and storylines. By now you would think they would have patched the options to allow non-zombie game servers or maps for players who don't want the zombie mode..

Anyone else notice how the bald guy on the start up screen looks like Riddick from behind? Bld head... Goggle strap... Blades in both hands... I wonder if Vin D posed for this image or if the snagged it from one of the Riddick movies?? LOL..

You dont need do that for play solo without bot for traning :
SImply : click Create Match and select practice

I'm sorry that you're too stupid to check the comments where i said that this is the "OLD"
version of the game which didn't had this function.
The goal of this is how to use commands.

anyone can password a server and not give out the password.

that makes this guide completely obsolete.

why do you no understand this?

you help no one with this guide.

you are only causing more work for people who can't see the obvious and most simple solution.
