Bunya Pine by MrMaison and pdelmo

Introducing the Bunya Pine tree. This is an exotic tree (not really a pine) that survived from the jurassic period found naturally in Queensland Australia. It is also found in other places around Australia. The cones are the size of footballs and contain edible kernels.
More info here in the wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Araucaria_bidwillii

This is my first nature collaboration with my friend and fellow Cities skylines tree and plant maker, pdelmo. After suggesting the idea, he went out in his neighborhood to take pictures
of Bunya trees providing authentic textures. I assembled them and did the modeling and finish work.

STATS:
This is another heavyweight coming in at 3914 tris and 2048x1024 textures. If you use the Norfolk Island pine, or the River Red Gum trees this should be no problem for you.

Still hoping for an Araucaria araucana version, the species found in Chile and Argentina

you do wonderful work. This tree is very pretty. I would have added a few more branches to fill it out more. But I do love the tree.

I am very interested in preserving surviving jurassic and cretaceous spcecies of vegetation. Would love to see you make the Araucarias found in Brazil and Argentina. In Brazil is the Biological Preserve of The Araucarias. Another tree that is very fascinating along those lines is the Baobab.

Look up also the avenue of the baobabs in Madagascar!

I endorse it: "Could you do the south american version of this beautiful type of pine?

Had to come thanking you for these trees. They are magnificent. Makes great center pieces in roundabouts too.

Works good as a southern US pine, e.g. Pinus elliottii.

Yes, Araucaria angustifolia or the Brazilian Pine is closely related to the Bunya Pine. They look very similar as well. It'd be awesome to have Araucaria angustifolia in the game too.

Yeah I think it is in the same family as the ones we have in South Brazil, as your link says Araucaria, which is how we call them here. Thanks mate, have a g'day!
