Introduction
Hi! In this guide, I'll show you every important steps needed to complete Prison Break - Escape mode, as well as certain tricks and tips, along with possible prizes that can be earned by completing this mode. If you're new to Co-op in AVA, I suggest you to read my other general guide about Co-op.

Now that you're ready, let's begin!
What is Prison Break - Escape?

Prison Break - Escape is an objective-based version of Survival. You and your other 3 teammates will have to fight through waves of fugitives and complete certain objective to escape from this prison. Box is available at the end of each round and will grant you certain reward for each of them.

Although this mode is not hard at all, teamwork is needed to complete the game. Otherwise, your team will struggle through round 2 and round 3 where things will be rather hard with an un-cooperated team.
Classes, Weapons and Items
Since I've gone into detail on this in my general coop guide, I don't need to say anything much about this.

However, in round 3, you may use a Sniper with a semi-auto sniper rifle to take down the bosses when you get to a room where bosses with shotguns and RPG will spawn. It's not really needed though since Rifleman can also easily kill the RPG boss with the current weapons available now.

You may want to equip extra ammo item too since in round 3 you may not have enough ammo at the boss stage.
Round 1

This round is quite simple: kill 200 prisoners and you can proceed to round 2. If you've been 3 boxing a lot or simply played survival mode before, this round should be a walk in the park considering you have 3 lives this time.

When you killed 200 prisoners, the door near the truck will open. Don't forget to pick up the box before closing the door.
Round 2
Ignore the door on the left and move on to the main door. Why? If you open the door, you'll have a chance of either getting the M249 Machine Gun or just a simple derp duck image inside the room. The M249 Machine Gun itself is not worth it: it has high recoil and bloom while moving and you can only get 25 ammo from the ammo box the prisoners drop. That's the main reason why the "don't open door or game gets harder" myth exists: it's there to deter people from wasting their time and trying to get that M249.

When you get to the main hall, you'll be greeted by a horde of prisoners. Kill them all and stockpile your ammo before moving on.

There are 4 gates available. You must open the door, invade and activate the controller inside that room and get out quickly while having prisoners standing in your way. You can only have 1 door open at a time.

Gate #1, #3 and #4 are rather easy to activate and you can even do it by yourself if you want to. Just rush in fast, jump on the machine near the controller and activate the gate there. The prisoner will mainly have a hard time to jump on the machine and get you. Still, you have teammates for a reason afterall. While you're activating the gate, the others should cover you and kill any prisoners come close to you. You can have 2 players activating the gate at the same time.

Gate #2 is a bit problematic since the machine is blocked off, forcing you to stand down and activating the controller directly. Still, if your team can cover you properly, this isn't too much of a problem at all.

When a controller is activated, vicious (red) prisoners will spawn inside the room. You can either sprint past them or just kill them all. Headshot can make quick work of any tough prisoners.

When you've activated all controller, swifts and vicious prisoners will spawn outside of the main hall. It's best to activate gate #3 or #4 last since you'll be closer to the exit tunnel. You can easily sprint through and escape, finishing round 2. Don't forget to pick up the box after you've closed the door (kinda hard to miss though).

Soloing Round 2
If for some reasons you're down to one-man-army, you can use the following trick to activate all gates:
Round 3
Like I've said before, ignore the MG door on the right and go straight for the big hanger door. Open it, jump down, follow the tunnel and prepare to fight against a big mob of prisoners ahead.

Phase 1
You'll have to enter each room, eliminate any prisoners that are blocking you in the way and destroy the wooden panel that's blocking the entrance to the next area. If you don't do it fast, prisoners will respawn inside the room and may get you cornered easily. You can also try to shoot the wood panel from long range before going in or use a grenade to destroy them.

Don't forget if any of you are low on ammo, you can continue to kill those prisoners and get full ammo before proceeding and destroying the wood panel. However if you're lingering back too long, the prisoners will still respawn and may get you by suprise. Don't ever let that happen, you don't want to lose any life in this phase.

The next area is quite narrow. Before you're going down the ramp, throw some grenades beforehand. It'll blow up and soften up some prisoners that will spawn down there so you'll have easier time finish them off. Quickly destroy the wood panel and get inside before they respawn.

The next 2 rooms are quite simple. Use your knife to destroy a wood panel, the prisoners will spawn instantly. You can easily kill them by blow up the nicely placed barrel inside the room and moving on.

Phase 2

Now, open that big double doors in front of you. As soon as you opened it, everyone MUST go all the way to the back. Bosses with shotgun and a RPG will spawn on the upper railing inside the room. The boss holding the RPG is the main problem. If you peek out too much, the RPG might hit you, killing you and maybe your entire team if you're not careful. As long as you're staying far enough, the boss holding RPG will keep hitting the fence above the double doors.

Once you've dealt with the RPG boss, you can go out and kill the remaining bosses with shotgun. Watch out for any swift and vicious since they can flank you unexpected. Kill the remaining mobs when the bosses are dead.

Phase 3

Now this is the part where many team failed at. One player need to go inside the room ahead and lure the prisoners inside that room while other teammates must stay back and NOT killing any vicious (red) prisoners. It's because the vicious can respawn back inside one of the control room and may kill the luring person. Just wait 'til he's in position and tell you when it's safe to go in.

For the luring person, try to get in fast, climb up the top quickly since the prisoners will take awhile before they try to climb ladder and get to you. You can easily jump through between points and get to the moving lift. Go to the control room on the right (point D in the minimap). Stand at where this guy is in the image and wait 'til all prisoners are grouped and looking at you (you don't have to use x9, prisoners will only chase someone else if they can't see you). When you're sure that all prisoners are chasing you only, tell your teammate to move in and take C4. One or two teammates is enough.

When the lure said it's safe to go in, you can take the C4 and climb into a control room and plant them. If there's any common or swifts chasing you, you can kill them but still, DON'T kill the vicious/red prisoner.

When you're done planting the C4, the lure should remain there and continue to lure the prisoners. Other players should get a RPG to kill the bosses that will spawn at the escape tunnel.

oh hai, I fit right in the crowd

When all controllers are destroyed, the main door to the escape tunnel will be opened. Quickly kill any remaining prisoners that's still alive from that C4 blast and ready for the bosses. There will be 4 bosses equipped with Remington 870 shotgun, along with a few swifts that are tougher than the normal one (has more hp than even a vicious). The guy holding the RPG will soften up the bosses while other players finish off the swifts and bosses. You can also try to run past them and go straight to the chopper if you think you can't kill them easily.

Unlesss you're actually making video comparing the obvious difference between opening and not opening the door, I'll just assume you're just hopping on the idiot butthurt train.
And even then, you should be able to beat that round easy with 1 person. Or are you just being a tough keyboard warrior?

and it was removed because beating Death Valley on Extreme mode had a small chance of obtaining a rare melee or helmet, and hackers started to exploit the map.
