  • The script write files way faster than photoshop

  • Once rendered, the GIFs are similar to what photoshop can produce
see an exemple here : https://imgur.com/a/T23eS

  • GIFs are always lighter than those produced in photoshop
Cons
  • features can be a bit limitative. For exemple, thanks to the user Timo making me notice, diffusion and color matte are not possible with GifGun. In a case where you use gradients or motion blur,as exemple, GifGun will not be able to render out nice files.

  • The script is a bit overpriced, but the result are here. Most of the time, In 10sec I have what I would normaly get in 10min within photoshop.

Summary
GifGun allows us to work a bit faster. It remove the pain of jumping from After Effect to Photoshop and again from Photoshop to After Effect. GifGun make our workflow much more simpler, and in my case, after 8 months, I still get extremely good results. Wheter it is complex compositing or simple animation, with what i'm doing, GIFs are always on the same quality level of photoshop.

The Script is not given, I know, but it's a nice tool to have. Yes, sometime you'll need to render your files in photoshop. But, 99% of the time, GifGun will make an awesome job.

The product is on sale at https://aescripts.com/gifgun/ for 30$

30$ seems expensives, and that's quite true. But, with that price, if you take artwork request anf get paid for your work, saved time quickly makes the money profitable.
