"My TF2 VAC ban (from using cheat engine in TF2's OFFLINE practice (essentially singleplayer, autodetected)) which I got over two years ago has somehow bled into this game.
I bought this game a few weeks ago, I've looked at some guides because I wanted to set out in the game proper, it was well informative, so I wanted to like this guide, Lo and Behold! I cannot like it because I am "VAC Banned in this game".
Does this game even have a multiplayer to be banned from?"

@GimmeGames4Fire If Valve doesn't like people liking other peoples stuff, what is the point in there being a like button at all?

In fact, I can like this post as well, so it is just the ability to like guides I lack, wacky.

I am not banned from the game itself I have played it for a little while now, and as evidenced by this post, I have the ability to post to the community, it is soley the ability to like things on this community that I lack, very unusual.

No, it doesn't. It's possible that you are merely banned from posting on or making guides as a way to stop cheaters and hackers (not that you are one) from advertising hacks. Have you actually tried opening up the game itself?
