@Dirp Hey, i just googled for a similar blender setup and found "This" [www.blendswap.com] scene you could have a look at.
Cant confirm that its working though.

And "This" seems to explain how to apply textures in blender.

i hope this works for you, i am sure looking forward to see your "cubes" finishes rendered like this :)
If you get stuck, let me know.
Good luck :)

Hey thanks for the reply. This looks really difficult, but I'll have a play around with it. So far I've trying to render in Blender, but I haven't figured out how to get my texture on properly yet. Anyway thanks for the help. I rated up both the workshop submissions, but I think the blue one looks better. :)

@Dirp The scene i use to render these samples is a pretty standard "Lightbox" [www.google.de] setup.

a gray floor and two very large (20x the size of the weapon) light walls that throw very soft shadows into the scene.
One light got a gentle blue tint and the other a orange tint.
This scene is then drowned in lots and lots of multi bounce Monte-Carlo Radiosity.
To get some color into the GI you can surround the scene with a spherical HDRI.
You can find some nice ones "here" [www.hdrlabs.com].

i would send you the scene but i am working with Lightwave3D and assume that you are unfamiliar with this software?
The scene really is simple to reconstruct within your 3D software of choice anyway, if you have any further questions, let me know.
Thank you for your interest :)

This looks really cool. How do you get these renders?
