This game has been a blast so far. A bit of a rocky start but as the player starts to careen over the difficulty curve it becomes a great experience. There is tasteful gore, fun alien designs, and dozens of pop culture references strewn about guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

The asset design is varied enough to give each level a unique feel. Nothing ever feels "samey" to me. An unsung hero of this is the groovy and sometimes funky soundtrack. Multiple times I found myself bobbing my head along to the beat. There are multiple difficulty levels so casuals can enjoy the references, atmosphere and gameplay. Heavier difficulties are sure to please the braver souls.

Worth noting are humorous unlockable characters with unique abilities. Each their own parody of an existing character. Bottom line is this game is great for more than a few laughs, horror moments, and engaging gameplay that drives the player forward.

The developer is very active and open to discussion!

Highly recommend to film, game, or horror film nerd.

Pros:
+The scenery is very detailed
+Atmosphere is very spooky even if there isn't a feeling of danger
+The sound design is solid. I like hearing the howling of the wolves and rustling. The school was great too.
+Good opening that set the stage nicely

Cons:
-Not a fan of the UI. No inventory
-Weird and finicky interaction system.
-Strange puzzle/progression logic with a lack of direction. (maybe more text messages would help?)

The bottom line here is the atmosphere sells this game. From the forest to the school its very well set. The primary issues for me are quality control. Maybe I am a big dummy but I got totally lost at a certain point and had very little inkling on what I needed to do to progress. Which may be user error more than anything but I have a hunch that others may have experienced the same.

While lacking polish I think this is well worth the price of admission and based off of promotional screenshots I think the developers next game Left Alone: Rebirth will improve on every aspect seen here.

As someone who had never played a lane defense I was rather shocked by how much I enjoyed this game. There is a strategic depth that makes this a satisfying experience for the player. The rpg level up/upgrade mechanics are implemented very well. Not to mention the fantasy aesthetic that lends itself very well to this genre.

There is a story mode that seems very well catered and an unlimited mode that I'm sure fans of the genre will enjoy very much. My play time is low but that won't last as I think this is a fantastic game to put time into.

The developer is also very cool. So there's that.

The price is right. You can experience a few different endings by utilizing the key items found in the small area you have to work with. Its a neat little puzzle trying to figure out the right combination of items necessary to trigger each ending. Its not a very long game but its packed tightly with a haunting art-style set amidst a plague ridden town. We only meet two characters but their designs are impeccable.

The worst part of the game is how quickly you find yourself finished with it.

This is a free half hours worth of entertainment. Nothing wrong with that. Check a look. Seriously. You won't regret it.

I'd love to see a more fleshed out piece set in this world.

This is a sweet game with a personal story attached to it. On first glance it may fit the "walking simulator" label but it is so much more than that. Although it is largely devoid of your typical action sequences it doesn't need it because it instills a need within its players to finish the story.

I wholeheartedly enjoyed taking control of flying animals. It gave me a sense of freedom. Swimming segments were often very stimulating as well. When one environment starts to feel a tad stale a new one is presented. Pacing is very well catered. I liked the story in spite of its overall predictability.

Animals are the playable characters. That's probably the biggest selling point. At least it would be if the game didn't have a stellar soundtrack and a unique art style.

I'd highly recommend this to anyone who wants a simple, fun, and engaging adventure without all the bells and whistles of AAA releases.

It's free. It's short. It has a few decent scares. There's no reason not to give this one a shot. Its developed well enough that I'd love to see the story and atmosphere more fleshed out in a meatier release. Perhaps some day!

Not much to say to be honest. Check it out. No cost. Any fun is a bonus.

Absolutely recommended for anyone whom is a fan of 2D platformers. The visuals are gorgeous and belong on a big screen. Its like an adult pixar film. Often times I had to pick my jaw from the floor gaping at the colors infront of me. The visuals entwine with the soundtrack to make a nearly perfect aesthetic experience. Every single area and event has its own track and they are all top shelf.

Haven't even mentioned the gameplay yet.

Its very tight. Level design felt very deliberate and catered. Enemy placement was organic and I never asked the question "why is this thing here?" Each area felt unique stacked up against the others. Back tracking was really only necessary for collecting powerups and currency. Several of the areas are contenders for my favorite so I think that sais alot.

The platforming at times was very challenging but rewarding after task completion. Ori's mechanics were very solid and kept fresh by a reasonable trickle of new abilities.

The ending made me tear up. Do not skip this. All in all fantastic game.

This one has stood the test of time. It's still pretty ugly. I'm not a fan of 3D Tales character models. I love the vast array of weapon designs. I just wish they popped up in cuts scenes and I really wish the character models reflected what they wore in battle.

Aside from those gripes I love most things about this game. The dungeons are for the most part very strong and boss battles reward the player with a sense of accomplishment.

Look, I don't stay on the technical side of things. I just love this damn game. I said its ugly. But there is beauty in the attack animations and MAGIC ATTACKS.

The extra content available after opening the SPOILER DOOR are top notch. I have yet to beat it on pc because its such a daunting game. But just know I enjoyed this every bit as much as I did all those years ago when it first released. Maybe just some extra cringing at the voice acting.

It's free. Play it.

It's cute. It has a message. It has conventional and simple rpg elements. You will care about the protagonist and you will find yourself giggling at the jokes. The pixel graphics give me life. Ironic because its a game about death.

The bad ending hurts me.

I have a strange yet limited history with Resident Evil. Played RE5 with a good friend. It was silly and impossible to take seriously. But it was fun and the co-op kept it spinning for a while. I played RE6 and gave up pretty quickly. Just didn't dig it.

I'm sort of working my way backwards now.

I remember reading about RE4 in Nintendo Power in 2005. I was to much of a wuss back then (at the age of 13) to play it. Fast forward to present times. My fear finally subsided.

I loved this game. The enemy variety. The location variety. All really fired me up. The dialogue was and continues to be terrible but that's (probably) not why you play Resident Evil games. I played on Normal mode but can't wait to try upper difficulties. This game definitely feels built for multiple runs.

Aside from the weak voice acting and screaming Ashlies the game sound design is top notch and the trouble tunes are often effective at conveying the stress of a situation. The scares rarely felt cheap and just when I thought I had seen the most grotesque monster model the game outdid itself.

I can't say enough positive things about my experience. This game inspired me to continue diving deeper into the Resident Evil catalog. Long overdue.
