For a long time now, the only Dragon Ball game I've enjoyed was Dragon Ball Z Sagas because of the game's focus on punch and kick combos. It was relatively simple, not too many button inputs to remember. I tried Xenoverse again and am I loving the combat. Not sure why I didn't before. But everything is explained between enough missions that it's not overwhelming to learn.

This game has its charm, with the low poly arcade appearance and bright colors, but my God if you don't have professional CSGO level reaction times, Heavy Bullets is just gonna piss you off.

It's a pleasant take on Vampire Survivors, definitely worth picking up if you're looking for another reverse bullet hell. Synergies feel good, and games of course only last 20 minutes so not as big of a time commitment. There's not as much map or enemy variation as VS, but everything is way faster to unlock thanks to the amount of the game's only currency you get when you complete a run.

If you're hoping this game is as good as the first game or better, you'll be mildly disappointed. It's really missing the polish the first game had, and you can see seams in the map everywhere. But hey, now you have a bow to miss shots with as well as throwing knives to whiff. Also I encountered a problem where the teleporter won't teleport me to exactly where the ball landed or shows where I should be placed. There's an offset, making it much harder to approach something like a door to open it or a table to grab scissors sitting on top of it.

Until You Fall is a bit of a mixed bag for me. I'm giving it a thumbs up because there is just enough variety in combat and it is striking visually, but the few core fundamental mechanics the game revolves around start to become less engaging the more you play.

You spend dozens upon dozens of hours grinding Aether to upgrade your weapons (I gave myself Aether in the final hour of my play time to finally experience level X weapons) just to see improvements so minimal you go from:
Level 1 Boss -> Level 1.5 Boss

The combo system completely falls apart when you have a combo of 6 or greater (which can happen quite a lot) cause each sequence in the combo gives you exponentially less time to hit the enemy in the thin, narrow "critical strike" region. WTF is the point of picking weapons that give you a high combo when you can't possibly utilize it.

The game loves not registering strikes that clearly nailed the position and orientation of the critical strike window, often making you have to perform extra cycles on the enemy (block attacks and slowly remove all its shield to be able to attack its health). I don't know if it's a problem with frame rate, physics, or the region simply not being lenient enough.

When an enemy attacks, a marker appears so you see where you have to position one of your weapons to block their attack. Occasionally, depending on your distance from the enemy, this indicator doesn't appear, but the enemy performs their attack and you take damage regardless. This makes dodging away from the enemy inconsistent and fare more risky than simply blocking. I've taken damage numerous times when the enemy wasn't even close to being within sword length.

And when enemies randomly decide to attack you while you are attacking an enemy in a vulnerable state, there is no physical way to both block their attacks and nail the critical strike windows at the same time. Very rarely do enemies stand side by side and unless you're facing the enemy you won't see the indicators to block their attacks.

The game is so close to being a 10/10. I wish mods could fix the few lingering problems it has, cause I doubt this game will ever receive another update.

Real Steel fans are eating good with this game. Just watching the intro got me hyped for what could follow. It's more than just carnage in the ring. The art style, music, and even the way perspective and parallaxing is handled in cutscenes and menus is flawless. The devs paid serious attention to detail, down to your partner's voice-over during fights reflecting what's going on and the glass of the mech becoming more shattered with missing health.

I thought it was going to be an online multiplayer 1v1 kind of game, just like Rumble, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was instead my favorite genre: A roguelike. I enjoyed the segments between fights, too. Makes you feel more like a part of this world. I can't wait to play more in the future.

I will eat my shoe if this doesn't win Game of the Year 2025.

Does any more really need to be said? Just play the damn game. There's so much charm in this indie gem. And it's much more than a Lethal Company clone.

This might be the best climbing game on Steam. Controls and momentum are satisfying and fluid. You will feel accomplished when you finish a climb, cause only once you reach the top do you realize how tense you were from the thought of falling and losing it all.

This isn't rage-bait. This is PEAK gameplay ;)

I enjoy survival games, but this game is way too damn hard for me. Maybe if I could actually find some nuts and proteins instead of mushrooms and bananas everywhere, I wouldn't have to die every 10 minutes just to get my stats back up. Also getting clean water is a huge problem. Can't boil the water in the coconut bidon, so I'm relying on coconut shells collecting water when it rains. Can't find a single plant to make bandages, stop poison, stop parasites, etc.

If you enjoy torturing yourself, you'll love Green Hell.

Game is fun with friends, but you'll find jank everywhere and by the time you complete half the levels you'll just wish it was over.
