I'm going to be honest, I bought this game on sale for 14 cents so I could profit from the trading cards. I had no idea what to expect from it and I gotta say I was more than pleasantly surprised.

12 Labours of Hercules is a simple casual strategy and time management game, mouse-only, with a very simple but very good soundtrack.

There are two difficulty settings, Casual and Expert, with no achievements directly related to them (i.e., beat the game on expert is not an achievement in itself, although it interferes on the amount of time you have to get gold score in every level). I only say this because I don't really like games that include difficulty specific achievements and in case you are like me and like to get 100% achievements.

The game itself is not too dificult if you play on Casual and if you plan a little bit before starting each level, but even so I had to restart a few levels to get gold score, which means there are more strategy elements than meets the eye. That said, if you really want a run for your money, I suggest playing it on Expert from the start.

And if you really enjoyed the game after playing it, there are 2 other sequels available, with another one greenlit by the community and hopefully on its way to the store very soon (at the time of writing this review).

I am not a big fan of these types of games and I do not usually write reviews, so this might not be the best review out there, but I just have to recommend this game to everyone, because it is worth the time and money. And even though I bought it at a lower price, I would gladly give 3€ for it.

Rage Quit: Simulator.

11/10 would break screen again.
