Excellent balance of tactical game play in the style of Squad and a typical action shooter. Make yourself a short list of good servers to come back to and use a mic.

This game is for a very specific type of gamer. Everything is slow. It's essentially a MUD with a graphical overlay. The game is a time pit, and if you let it, a money pit. But there is no other game out there where everything in the game is entirely player made. The community is generally great. It scratches that 'incremental progress' itch. And when you finish a project it is very satisfying.

It's not the game that I wanted from a Starship Troopers RTS, but it's fun. It starts off overly easy so the first hour or two is a bit of a drag. There is no base building aspect, it's much more of a unit management game than I was hoping for and it has very little depth. I'd love to see the bug bodies stack up to get over walls, and some more involvement in the actual fighting. Right now it's mostly just attack move click over and over.

That said, it's Starship Troopers and I'm a sucker for it all. It would be nice if they expanded on the concept in future, but for now it's a fun game. I'd wait for a sale.

Less of a chore to play than factorio with more action. The people complaining about having to upkeep electrical connections don't realise that for the little outposts you can just pop down a couple wind or solar generators down and not bother making massive wired connections.

If you like the concept of a game like Factorio, but get bored with how tedious optimising ends up then this game is worth it.

This game is not perfect. There are quite a few quality of life changes that I really hope end up getting implemented, but the game doesn't suffer much for it. The issues are overshadowed by a super addicting game play loop that you will lose and lose often. Your losses give you points towards bonuses that help you get further the next time you play.

Learning how everything interacts is half the fun, and it's very satisfying when you 'outsmart' the AI to optimize your village.

A fun game despite the bugs. AI isn't very bright (dying of thirst while standing in a river) but it's a compelling enough game if you get it on sale. I am not familiar with the developer but I have have been told the game play loop is similar other games by them.

If you enjoy a basic city builder while advancing through the ages there are better options out there, but this is fun.
