Used to have promise, Devs destroyed balance to get more money out of it, not much else to say. Uninstalled and will probably never touch it again.

The graphics, armor/weapon mods, and gunplay are an improvement over older Fallout titles. When it's not glitching out, the game runs well and the character handles pretty well.

Everything else is subpar. Level design, environment, quests, npcs, DLC, dialogue, scapped mechanics like skills and ammo types, it's hugely disappointing. The game was simplified to an unnecessary degree and things such as the settlement system that were tacked on feel like more of a chore than something engaging and fun.

The game is decent with mods, which the developer now wants to charge for. Bethesda would like to charge you to let other players fill the gaping holes in their design.

Unfortunately, the game is broken. The developer seems to have taken down the official forum, but if you look at the steam forum you will see that for many people the game will not launch. Even people who have played the game before (and enjoyed it) are suddenly finding the game refusing to start up.

I spent about twenty minutes trying every fix people have suggested and the game won't even reach the loading screen or give an error message. Buy at your own risk.

Easy to pick up, difficult to master, Factorio is a sort of base-building/tower defense/puzzle game all wrapped into one coherent concept. You explore, you build, you acquire new resources, you develop new technologies, and you protect your shiny belongings from the ever-present horde of bad things that want to destroy it.

No specific thing in Factorio is really complicated, it's the interacton between structures and the scale that really make it shine. Factorio lets you do a whole lot of creative stuff using simple building blocks and logic tools. The graphics aren't amazing, but they are effective at displaying what they need to in a game that could easily get cluttered with too much information.

It's also moddable, if you start to get bored with the vanilla game you are still just scratching the surface of what you can do with Factorio.

The steam integration isn't perfect, but it's still early access and being steadily developed.

If you like base building and tech games with epic scale, you will probably enjoy Factorio.
