TLDR: I recommend the game, if you enjoyed Black Flag you'll like this one

This is my first review, so please bear with me.

I've played Assassin's Creed 3, 4 and Unity all on PC. I loved Black Flag (4) but Unity made me lose faith in the franchise, however this installment drew me back in. I’ve also played Far Cry 4.

I haven't even finished a sixth of the game yet and I’ve already sunk 10 hours in and look forward to each time I go to play.

I feel that the development team taking a year off did them very well. Origins feels like a mixture of Far Cry + Assassin’s Creed. It feels like an RPG, I constantly want to kill animals to get their skins and ambush soldiers for their goods to upgrade my gear. It is a grind but it is quite fun and drawing. There is a form of microtransactions in here, it’s not as nearly as bad as Unity was but if you look through the store you can get some great gear for Helix credits, however you can still play and have large amounts of fun with just the vanilla game. The store is quite good and grasped me quickly.

I do have one grip with the game, when you clear military camps or locations and complete the location (killing the general/commanders and looting it) I feel the zone should become neutral and no longer be controlled by the enemy but that’s the thought process Far Cry has installed in me.
Regardless of that the game is fantastic and looking at the upcoming DLC I’m very excited.
So far I’ve encountered no bugs and no crashing. I do get some FPS dips and stuttering but I’m running every option maxed out @ 1440p (I have my PC Specs listed on my Steam Profile) and I get a constant 60 FPS I can’t really complain.

I do have a Logitech G933 wireless surround sound headset and I’ve read with some players having sound issues with Logitech headsets but I’ve haven’t encountered a single one, prior to playing the game I did make sure my Logitech Gaming Software and headset firmware were both up to date.

Overall I highly recommend the game 👍, I bought the gold edition. If you’re looking to save money I’m sure the U-Play only edition will go sale more often and most likely sooner than the Steam version but if you get the U-Play edition, there isn’t the trading card drops or Steam Achievements.
