A satisfying experience. More complicated than you'd first expect.
Well worth the purchase price.

A bit disappointing. I loved the first game, but everything in this one seems to be a downgrade.
It's still enjoyable, but just not as much as the first. This isn't a movie where the sequel is expected to be worse, videogames are suppose to build on a foundation, and while this does add some interesting landscape changes, the rest of the game lacks the charm and attention to detail the first one had.
The music was worse, the game is shorter, and the story less engaging or rewarding.

Installed this on a whim and was very pleasantly surprised.

This was too much for my boomerbrain to handle.
However I have to recognize this game is very well made.
It's more akin to sonic the hedgehog than warioland though.

An alright platformer that gets saved from staleness by brevity.
The story has charm, the puzzles are on the easy side, and the music really signs in a few levels.

An extremely entertaining brawler, overall improvement over the first. This time there's more metroidvania and less platforming.
I had a ton of fun playing it, and it's not to terribly difficult (on the first play-through).

The look and aesthetics of this game are on point.
It's pretty much what you'd expect, the game plays smooth and I like how the UI board progress you through the maps. However I found myself uninterested in deviating from the path.... upgrade one ability to max, focus on a couple of characters, and play until my party gets 1 shotted by giant monsters.
Still a fun time though!

Once you get the hang of it, the grind to stay alive can be addictive. It's easy to lose track of time and wanting to play "just one more day". This game may not look pretty, but there are a lot of moving parts that keep you interested and wanting to discover more.
That being said, the UI could definitely use some more fine tuning. Unless the devs make some major refinement, I don't see myself getting too excited for their next installment.

A real enjoyable experience.
The music and camerawork flows nicely with the groove.
Dice rolls can be punishing, I ended up playing on the 2/5 difficulty.

A good auto battler with everything you'd expect, but the *character* portraits are extremely ugly. *the units look awesome*
I really hope they change the artwork, or at least enable custom portraits before launch.
