Amazing remake.

It's certainly an experience to play this game ;) Pretty lo-fi in presentation and the story is... er... 'interesting'. The gameplay is pretty good though (even if I'm not a big fan of the 'QTE' implementation). Only thing that stands out as not that great is the ending with its sudden change in said gameplay. Worth getting it in a sale.

Wow, they stuffed the game full of same repetitive 'missions' outside of the actual levels. Sure streches the game, but it doesn't add much if you are constantly enduring multiple loading screens just to finish a simple fetch quest. Even more annoying are the 'catch this person that stole a collectible' when they are damage sponges that take a lot of hits.

It's great that they put all 9 movies in one game, but I think the formula has reached its breaking point with this game. Hopefully they can find a way out of this 'collectathon' they maneuvered themselves into.

I loved to play this game when it came out in 1997. First in software render mode and a bit later when I got my first Voodoo 2 card with all the lighting effects. This remaster fixes a number of issues I had with the original game. The machine gun's recoil is much less and the compass helps when you get lost in one of the backtracking sections of the game.

The visuals got an update, but it's less noticable compared to the original Quake remaster. The AI upgrade is a bit of a mixed bag as some enemies now just stand and try to take shots and you when they see you. The new episode looks great, but the difficulty is quite high. If you are looking for a challenge it's perfect though.

Overall it's a very solid remaster and the inclusion of all the add-ons plus a new episode make more than worth the asking price.

This is more a 'meh' review than an actual negative one. The presentation is fine, but the game runs quite poorly for how it looks. The overworld as a way to connect locations isn't a bad idea, but it does feel a bit too less developed. The named instances for the most part are fun to play, but the rest of the content is fighting in rather short arenas that don't differ that much throughout the game.

That's my main problem with the game: The actually written content you get is good, but it's clear that it was padded with a lot of same-ish encounters. Most quests in the overworld are 'Go to arena and get item' which gets boring very quick. For 20-30 bucks this game is okay, but not for 60. Oh and stay away from the DLC. It is not worth it at all.

10 bucks for 5 non-random encounters? Wow, that is really greedy. These 'DLC' are a joke. A bad one.

There's a good amount of content in this collection. Both games are fun to play and feature different mechanics. The presentation in both games is great and the set pieces fit the flow of the game. Only some of the achievements feel more like busy work than actual achievements. Maybe 50 bucks is a bit much for quite linear games with not that much replay value, but the first playthrough will be quite a bit of fun. Recommended if on sale for sure.

Didn't like it when it came out, gave it another chance and still don't like it much. The campaign is much weaker than The New Order both in story and level design. It feels oddly rushed and the end comes at a point when you'd expect the game to finally pick up. The 'side' missions are really boring and reuse the few locations over and over. The shooting is still fun, but it's the same as in The New Order. This should have been a DLC for The New Order rather than its own game.

The game is very good, but it isn't without flaws. It's a really well made open-world RPG-ish action adventure. If you ilke Harry Potter this game delivers exactly what you think it will (and more). Sadly with raytracing it does stutter a lot (at least on a 3070). Without it it runs fine. Also the achievement design is quite grindy. There's also a problem with one of the 46 quests that prevents you from completing the game 100% without messing with save files (that is after the game is out for about 4 weeks).

I had a great time playing the game, but if you want to get all achievements in the game it can be rather frustrating. Overall a great game and certainly worth getting if you are a Potter-head.

Most bugs are gone and the experience is very good if you are into cyberpunk. The presentation is amazing and the game runs great with RT on. The soundtrack is varied and high quality. The writing in this game stands out. Even the 'gigs' in the game all have some unique twist to them. Really a great cyberpunk experience in 2023.
