Gemini Rue, Resonance, The Shivah are the closest in my opinion.
Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller is pretty recent and I enjoyed it a lot.
Monkey Island 1,2 and 3 are all really good.
The first Gabriel Knight is also worth playing, as is Blade Runner.
Beneath a Steel Sky (free on GOG.com)
The Longest Journey (and if you enjoy that, the sequel- Dreamfall).
King's Quest VI.
Both the Indiana Jones PnC games here on Steam.
Grim Fandango (branching out a bit from core point and click, but its worth it)
Broken Sword 1,2 and 5. (3 and 4 are in a bit of a different style, I don't like them as much.)
Gray Matter is supposed to be good, I've yet to play it though but I've heard good things.
There's also the yearly GAF threads on point and clicks - 2014's is here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=744274
Hopefully that's enough to get you started though.
