Perfect example of how to do a sequel. All of the original mechanics and movement quirks of Grapple Dog still exist with a lot of new welcomed additions. There is a new fully playable character with a unique moveset, completely new per character power-ups, and even small additions such as cosmetics for both the characters and the grappling hook.

It's a shame that it doesn't seem to be selling well on PC based purely on reviews.

Easily the best modern 3D platformer to date without question. Extremely technical movement that took a little while to master. Amazing soundtrack as well. Looking forward to the full release.

Although I would like to recommend this game after 100%ing the achievements I can't. Instead of further expanding on the movement the game introduces weird gimmicks per level in order to vary the movement. The vast majority of these gimmicks are god awful such as the giant slow robot.

Besides casually playing the levels and collecting the coins as you go you can also speedrun levels. For this being an option and imo being the main content extender, getting gold on these levels was by no means fun. The final boss has a 35 second cut scene that you MUST watch each time you restart. Not to mention the lack of flow in some of these levels with slow platforms or weirdly timed stage hazards.

Neon White + Jet Set + Mirrors Edge

Overall a good experience so far with a few nitpicks.

The Nitpicks/general thoughts:
I wish there was a restart button that you could hold down without needing to go to the menu. The menu buttons are also confusing when I'm trying to quickly hit them. The quit button looks like an eject symbol and the restart button is a rewind symbol which makes it a little confusing.

This game definitely thrives off of its movement based mechanics way more than the combat. The combat is extremely frustrating especially when going for plats.

The movement really boils down to 2 colors, Although I only have 3 hours for 95% of that time I've been using yellow and blue. The other colors are almost useless besides double red for combat. Double red also feels like the only viable combat option.

Settings are pretty limited, I wish that there was at least double binding.

During the break objects challenge you shouldn't get heat imo.

The heat mechanic is annoying. Maybe I just haven't figured it out yet but it feels like you either have to die or leave and re-enter the level to get rid of heat.

You can die in challenging which is pretty annoying because you then have to re-find the challenges. A lot in which are not marked on the map except for the main ones.

And lastly, not so much a nitpick, but I wish there was a double jump and a dash, I find myself hitting shift to dash and double tap space for double jumps subconsciously very often

Extremely well flushed out but unfortunately short game. Great voice acting, an amazing soundtrack, and one of the best 3D platformer movement systems I've seen in a while on PC. The price may be a little steep at $30 seeing as how I fully beat and go all the achievements in around 3 1/2 hours, but definitely worth it on sale. Hopefully the game offers DLC as some point.

If you're looking for something extremely similar, check out Solar Ash Kingdom.

Bought out by Epic. Even before that the game's development was extremely slow.

A hard game to master, but a fun one to learn.

The ship portion of the DLC is good, nothing to really complain about. The second portion of the DLC, "death wish" is completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, recycled content, with little no effort exerted. There is absolutely no way they even balance tested some of these challenges.
