An excellent reverse horror game with puzzle elements! Worth it at full price if you like what you see. Relatively short but sweet and high quality.

Positives
+Play a monster and eat people! Smash their bodies around for gore and fun!
+I liked the puzzle elements. As your mass gets bigger, up to 3 levels, your abilities change. There are special pools to remove your biomass for access to earlier abilities to solve puzzles.
+Variety of ways to kill your enemies. My favorite being Parasitism where you can control humans.
+Containment units are a nice collectible that give you bonuses: fire resistance, more energy, and more prehensile tentacles.
+Steady progression of abilities helps mask the repetitiveness.
+Very well polished with no real bugs or glitches except some very minor physics based ones.

Negatives
-This game desperately needed a map. I got lost several times and had to wander around using process of elimination to figure out where to go.
-Virtually no story. Hopefully in a sequel we get significantly more story blurbs somehow. I would like to know the origin of the creature, what the scientists learned, what they were trying to do, etc.
-A little repetitious, more noticeable with the complete lack of story.

A fun puzzle game in the theme of the Tomb Raider universe. Everything is turn based so the enemies don't move until you do. There are various gameplay mechanics that get slowly introduced with each new chapter. There is a hint system you can use which shows you exactly what to do at no penalty. Perfect if you've been stuck on a puzzle for awhile and don't want to get too frustrated. Each level has collectibles to find to unlock skins for Lara. Mouse controls are weird: you have to hold lmb and move the mouse in the direction you want to go.

A decent amount of content that took me 7 hours to 100% and was a fun diversion. No replayability. Buy it on sale.

This is a fantastic and well executed idea! Advertise games... with a game! Brilliant!

The setting is that the expo is cancelled, mimicking current real life. There are several games on display here each with its own trailer. The rooms representing the games fit the theme of said game, which is super cool. You're given a shirt-launcher gun and use it to temporarily disable robots that are trying to stop you. There are also semi-hidden collectibles for you to find. Combined with a fun final boss battle and you've got an enjoyable, unique experience.

I hope others pick up on this idea, and that Devolver does it again next year.

A pretty good adventure game. If you examine all options for all interactibles (as you always should) the game will take at least 8 hours. It's full of weird characters and ideas. However I wasn't a big fan of most of the humor from Paradigm examining things, especially not the self-deprecating ones. Personal preference obviously. I did really like the idea of the "pick up" command being used on an object you couldn't actually pick up resulting in Paradigm using a pick up line in theme with the type of thing.

I found all the puzzles logical, though sometimes in its own weird way, and not hard to figure out if you examine everything as this will help clue you in on what to do.

I felt the story could have been fleshed out more, especially the alien invasion that's only mentioned a few times if you examine and look at everything.

Overall worth it when on sale.

To get the soundtrack to download I had to uninstall then reinstall the game. Other than that hiccup the music itself is actually really good! Not a fan of the Human Sounds for Whales though, too mundane.

A fantastic point and click adventure that's not without its flaws.

Good
+Excellent voice work from all the characters.
+I really like the 3 different personality paths you can do and how that alters what abilities you get on day 2 and 3.
+Valter is hilarious!
+Certain quests can be solved slightly differently, such as how you go about getting past a fingerprint scanner.
+I especially like how the majority of puzzles use logic and reasoning with clearly defined hints and ways of beating them.
+There are no soft locks if you fail to get a certain item before a certain area (looking at you King's Quest 6!).

Neutral
+-The story is kind of meh. It's enough to draw you in, but doesn't really leave you satisfied by the end.
+-I wish it was longer with more things to do and more ways to interact with the people and environment for unique reactions.

Bad
-As cool as the idea of the personality paths are, it actually doesn't really change much in the game. You get different abilities to solve the same puzzle slightly differently and that's it. The real problem is that these unique abilities can ONLY be used for puzzles. With a certain personality path you get the ability Energize which can bring machinery to life. It even shows this to you by activating a little robot in your room. Unfortunately you can't use it on any other robots in the game such as the ones in Valter's shop. It would've been so cool if you could use these abilities outside of puzzles to find secrets and funny reactions.
-Some parts of the story don't really make much sense, with motivations a little hazy. Can't go into details without spoilers.
-The biometric analyzer is a cool idea that is used less than 5 times in the whole game, and I was diligent in having it on for every conversation and topic. It should've been used more even if it didn't further the plot or puzzles.

Overall this PnC game is definitely worth it, especially on sale.

A very faithful and excellently done remaster. And that's part of the problem. I forgot how unbalanced and unfair the games were, probably because I blocked it from memory and only remembered finally winning a mission after the dozenth try. Truth be told these original games just haven't aged well, especially if you compare it to Starcraft and particularly its sequel. But they did kickstart the genre after Dune 2 invented it, so you can't blame them for being archaic. So if you want to play these games how they were originally made, then this is for you. If you get turned off by unbalanced gameplay and lack of attack-move, then maybe pass.

I don't regret supporting such a well done remaster, but I probably won't put serious time into the games when there are far superior RTSs out there better worth my time.

A fantastic game, that unfortunately does have some flaws. It's not as polished as say Ara Fell, but the bugs and such can be looked over in favor of the overall experience. The music is extremely good! I also really liked the cutscenes which i felt were a nice addition to the story. I also enjoyed the unique combat, where most skills have only 1 use and you must defend to recharge them. The difficulty was nice for the most part, but it became a bit of a chore because it makes the enemies bullet sponges.

There are the rare graphical bugs, only got stuck once, some item stats and boosts don't seem to work though the important ones do.

Overall I recommend it though perhaps on a small sale. I greatly hope they make a sequel!

Truly an amazing rpg with a story that kept me hooked all the way through and wanting more, with characters I care about and villains I hate. The story is well explained and makes sense with practically no plot holes I could see. Some nice twists and turns and an ending that makes me beg for more. Worth it even at full price.

The game does not currently explain the rules for combos AT ALL. See screenshot:
https://sp.zhabite.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2073561952
I was first move and placed the card at middle top. Opponent placed right top, causing some kind of "plus" combo flipping my card. According to the instructions (which scroll by so fast you'll have to read it twice) a plus combo is "When the total number of adjacent cards is the same". Well as can be clearly seen in the screenshot the total number of these adjacent cards is not the same with my card having a higher total number. EDIT: Even the devs cannot properly explain how this is supposed to work, while simultaneously claiming it's explained in the tutorial (it's not, not at all). If the devs add a detailed explanation of how the combos work, let me know and I'll edit this review.

It's made in rpg maker and they couldn't be bothered to use a script to remove the superfluous menus like items, skills, equipment, and stats.

Grammar and spelling mistakes which is par for the course of rpgm games.

I know nothing of Touhou or Nyanco, I just like Triple Triad, so the "story" seems to rely heavily on knowledge of these subjects.

You can't save anywhere even though it's a setting they can enable, and must instead find the right npc to save. There's no reason for this.

No mouse control, you must use the keyboard.

I've always hated the enemy having their cards hidden from view. It only makes the first few battles hard until you memorize their cards then it becomes pointless. Just let us always see what cards they have. It also removes all doubt of potential ai cheats.
