Every inch of this game oozes with reverence and love for the franchise it's based on. It's a welcome addition to the asymmetrical horror co-op genre as a free-to-play game who's only monetized elements are cosmetics while its contemporaries grow increasingly predatory in their monetization schemes.

The only qualms I have are with the Attic Map, which feels much bigger than the other maps, making it harder for the killer faction to catch up with or find the human (Although I love the main stairs, every time we end up at the map somebody leaps into the abyss and dies instantly.) and with Mr. Static from the Demonic Toys faction who seems oppressive even on his own.

Much love to October Games for making such a fun game and continuing to update it, and much love to Full Moon for officializing and platforming it.

i love this game so much - it is THE risk of rain experience. if you like roguelikes and don't know where to start with the risk of rain series, do yourself a favor and pick this one.
