Probably the worst interface in any game that I've ever used. Tutorial is lacking. Game doesn't explain game mechanics or the business-aspect of running this business soon enough in the training. There are useless features everywhere, the same toggle listed three times in ways the devs don't realize because they don't understand their own game mechanic and interface design. There is a lot of clicking but actually little management or game here. No, I can't recommend, the entire game needs an overhaul.

Recommended for: No one, not in the slightest for anyone in any way. This is not a game, it's a visual tutorial on how to use controls or how to ignore people/story/world because they built a world so boring, so linear, so shallow, that you must believe people/story/world are also boring in real life. The game creators have never actually listened to a real human being, read a single story, played a good game, nor went on any adventure, in their entire lives and it shows. They are literally cramming junk down your throat. Instead of recommending this for younger players, I would instead recommend 100 other RPG titles to younger players. There is no need to water-down gaming or someone's life by playing this garbage.

Story: Story is absent, plot is unbelievable in a way that is not fanciful but just plainly something you want to ignore, dialogue is boring and tedious, characters are shallow and forgettable. Given how colorful everything is, I don't understand why they didn't allow us to customize the main character since every character doesn't matter anyway. You can literally swap identities with all the characters and it wouldn't make any difference.

Graphics: Colorful. Good, would have been interesting in a good game.

Combat: Hack n slash. For some reason you, and everyone else, can have magical powers and infinite might. Completely unbelievable and boring. Nothing you do really matters here. You are rewarded for no reason as well.

Loot: It's everywhere. No secrets. Nothing to earn.

Controls: Neither perfect with keyboard/mouse or controller. Prefer using keyboard/mouse for better visibility during game.

World-building: None. The story is so bad. The entire world exists to placate to the linear trajectory of the game. For example, in the abandoned mine, there isn't an actual mine that was built, there was a linear dungeon created with mine tracks that follow the trajectory of the dungeon. Everything is placed for the game, you are not exploring a world, you are following a strict path. Also, I love how random enemies are placed in the world and everyone is okay with it and also the enemies never move. The world was built by a 10 year old.

Difficulty: Non-existent, it's just a hack n slash. You'll get hit from monsters in your back and that's about it.

Is-like: NOT like Zelda at all, which had lore, world-building, mystique, etc. I actually haven't played a RPG this bad since early days of 3D rendering when game-creators were first exploring ways of world-building for gamers in a way that made them feel like they have infinite choice. Those were better games because of their creativity to be honest. There isn't a game like this and also, this isn't a game as previously mentioned.

No, I do not recommend this.

Beautifully smooth game play, pleasant story, visuals are lovely, and you're rewarded for exploring. It has enough difficulty to make you want to rage quit here and there, but not enough to make you hate life. Perfect balance for me. Highly recommend, a very solid platformer!

NO IDEA why this has good reviews. It's a very shallow game, it's only cute visuals. TOTALLY regret purchasing and hoping the game gets better the entire time I've been playing it. This game is a fraction of the older games this took inspiration from. (I've played all old RPGs and most modern ones, like literally all of them.) ZERO world development and character development. Combat system is boring and yet requires your actions the entire time, making it feel extremely tedious and not strategic, just annoying. Items don't really exist. Your reward for exploring - here's a f*cking shell to add to your shell collection that you can't use for the entire duration of the game. This is so forgettable and I resent buying and trying to like it SO MUCH.

HoMM 3 is better than this, so playing this game hoping for the same or better makes this game disappointing. I saw a lot of reviews complaining about the devs wanting to make balance perfect being a negative but TBH I think what the devs did was remove all beauty and mystique from the HoMM series. This game is too Ahramanic, it's way too mechanical. The game plays as a button-mashing campaign with little desire to follow the story, fight, expand, grow, or anything. I have so little interest playing this game. There is no immersive feeling being transported into the world, feeling small inside your own town, feeling proud watching your army grow and upgrade, no mystique feeling building a magical tower, no wonder finding places on the map, etc.... the devs took all these elements and reduced them to their numerical values. The graphics are too pixellated to enjoy, battles are boring, animations are dull, magic is boring, the story is boring... Remember that feeling you had when you could finally have a dragon and WATCH it in combat? That was so cool... All this game makes me want to do is play HoMM now. I was such a huge fan of that game, I even worked on long campaigns that would take a person 40+ hours to complete. The possibility for story, immersion, and experiencing a transcendent experience in HoMM was there.

This game needs an overhaul. It isn't a balance issue, it's a reductionist issue. There is NO magic, NO might in this game. It's just a clicking game. Click and go here, click on these things, click those things, and then you beat the campaign. It's soulless.
