A 'must buy' for those who like a turn-based game with lots of unique ways to progress and do combat, on top of a large compelling universe with interesting quests. You can invest hundreds of hours and still discover and experience something new in this game.

New players should start on the easiest difficulty to learn the ropes and gimmicks, as well as looking up community-made character builds before going into normal. Bad builds can really punish you hard and ruin your experience, most encounters also requires clever thinking and setup to get the upper hand against multiple enemies as you will fight alone 99% of the time.

If you come to enjoy the game, you'll definitely want to experience the 'Expedition' expansion too.

I never thought I'd make a review of this game, but I've made the decision to do so because I haven't cried from a story like this in a very long time.

I had a little taste of the free episode 1, the idea and concept felt so original I had to buy the whole season during the autumn sale while I still could. And this is the first time I've ever felt like I should've bought the full price instead, after I finished the game, just because I'm so happy it exists.

The more I played, the more I sank into the story and its characters, which eventually got my feels caught unguarded.
Time travel at first glance made me think I could easily make things the way I wanted it to be, but it turned out to be way more difficult than I thought as I underestimated the tag "choices matter", there were indeed a lot of hard decisions.

And I have to admit, I felt as empty afterwards as I was with The Witcher 3.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go back to lying down and roll on the floor trying not to cry then cry a lot.
