As a fan of Noisestorm since 2014, I do enjoy his arrangements in Drum n' Bass and appreciate his current work. With the exploding Crab Rave, the launch of this game really got my attention.

Playing the game though, it is whole another story. I got frustrated early on, and struggle to complete each set of island. But once I started getting more weapons, I start to unlock the true potential of this game: Immersion through the madness.

Imagine you are a lone crab, and you have to kill every single entity that tries to kill you. Luckily, you are a gun-bearing crab and you have a lot of weapons to choose.

The game really able to hold its own weight, with so many RNG involved (in a good way!) but once you got your boots strapped, the game become so much easier and you'll find yourself farming the elites and bosses in no time.

Also, crabs.

I played this with help from my friend, who is a WGM and is currently holds IM title. Safe to say that she is confused, amazed, and terrified.

I am amending my review on the game under the current state of 0.60.1, which was released on the 9th of October 2023.

I will be giving a disclaimer though, my review might be biased due to my involvement on this game, but I am committed to write this review within the general player's standpoint.

First, I find TC:R is not a whole new genre, but rather, a mix of two-most popular genre within the gaming context. Real-Time Strategy and First Person Shooter. As a rather unique take on both the genres, TC:R by its concept are pretty neat: It can simplify two different, extreme ends of the genre and packed it into a game with reasonable learning curve.

The game itself is pretty straightforward. You control a country and its standing army. You have to manage your country, build army, and deter threat from other nations. From it's inception a year ago, the game has progressed significantly. Offering great contents for its worth.

While I have to be honest that the bugs and glitches are pretty frustrating, bear in mind that Thunder Devs, is a small, lone wolf, and do consisted of team members all around the world. With their current capacity, I believe that TC:R can fulfill its potential and able to revolutionize this fusion of a genre.

Probably one of few games that is worth in EA right now.

Where to start? - ah yes.

Ravenfield (and add more mods) is the equivalent of someone's dad having a miniature of a battlefield with the troops, vehicles, etc. in the modern era. The possibilities are endless, and the base game itself is quite varied albeit with simple weapons and mods. Overall, a very great work for a lone developer. Kudos!

So, where it all begin huh?

On December 29th, 2017. I was just another newbie stranded on the Yellow Star codenamed CIN-9167 with a few handful ships to grow my system. Needless to say, I worked it out, joining my first corp known as F.A.R.T (Federation of Allied Rogue Traders). And here we are, the fun begins.

You see, the shipments are maybe a bit grindful, and managing it will be a pain in the butt. But you know, it will pass up until you get your first Shimpent Computer, the first Warp Lane, and then, the first Shipment Drone to make your life very easy later on.

What so, the famous White Star? It's a masterpiece of Team PvP with the objective to score Relics as many as you can. The hours will be so long that it will be passed on bit by bit, but what's matter a ton? The time you and your corpmate will be planning on, adapting, reacting, and making things happen. Fact that, every second counts to alter the outcome of every battle, and even, the match itself.

Tired of the long hours, and ready to take things yourself? Welcome the Blue Star, when every player is for him/herself. Nothing is tying, and be the one that survive a tick longer than your opponents. Fact that this mode is the money and hydro generator for your daily drivers.

You see, when you'll be playing in this game, the mechanics challanged you to the long term thinking, planning, and executing. But for me, the MOST VALUEABLE part, is the social part of it.

So yeah, when you're ready to play, you'll be coordinating with everyone from the globe, to reach the goal. And in the process, creating a bond, that last for eternity.

So why I'm telling you this instead of reviewing the game itself?

Hades' Star is the piece of paper. You have the pen. Carve out your story, among the millions of players and systems
