Disclaimer: This is a PVP focused review.

EDIT 2: Late October 2024 Update - Second nerf wave dropped, and a lot of overpowered units were finally nerfed. The most egregious ones were Lurcher (Dino), Jisoo, Kaci and Kang, and you can tell by the recent reviews people are already malding about this but make no mistake, these units were completely busted.

Kaci was pretty much the best tank for a measly 2 cost (when leader) and could go toe-to-toe with awakened defenders.

Dino wiped out your entire team with her ultimate and with her invulnerability it made it extremely hard to kill her before that, good luck of having I-NO from the Guilty Gear collab, which was her only counter (And Mordred, which was recently released).

Jisoo applied a debuff so heavy that the only thing you could hope so is to mirror match. Bursting her? Not when people were using several defenders to tank away the damage. Plus she was extremely tanky and recovered HP over time.

Kang had her HP halved, making her a backline killer like she was supposed to rather than being a complete nuisance (people were equipping her with melee DMG res sets, good luck killing that).

The only undeserved nerf was Chulsoo, but this is mainly due StudioBside hating non-SSR units.

We still have stuff like the recently buffed Awakened Shiyoon which is very painful to deal with but not impossible. People argue he needed the buff but many would agree he was a bit overtuned. (Like Awakened Sigma)

Original Review Below.

The devs have revised and balanced a lot of rather overpowered or "unfun to play against" units, plus they announced more changes in the future. They also released more counterunits to some really annoying ones. We still have stuff like Dino and Jisoo, but they were included in the future rebalance patch, so time will tell if these units will no longer be the annoying.

The game lacks a Mouse Acceleration option.

I *really* wanted to like This Strange Realm of Mine, I like the artstyle, premise and gameplay of the game.

However, there's just one flaw that pretty much kills the game for me: You can't rebind the attack and zoom buttons (Mouse 1 and Mouse 2) on the mouse.

Other people could say it's not a big deal for them, but I like to bind the Jump command to Mouse 2 and pretty much every other FPS game allows me to.

This game allows you to but Zoom is hardbound to Mouse 2, so both commands get executed at the same time. And what happens when I try to Zoom? I jump as well, making the game extremely uncomfortable to play.

I made a thread about this in the game's
community discussions but got no response about it.
