Cool game. But it's got some issues.

-Laggy Dual Ultimates
-No real world damage/excessive booms
-PVP is boring, nothing but special spams of the same moves
-Parallel Quest NPCs are unaffected by all capsules. Like, whats the point of using them when my regular NPC allies don't hardly need them and even using moves that force focus on you, the quest NPCs get retargeted almost instantly and there isn't anything you can do about it.
-A lot of achievements locked behind DLC and i'm not gonna pay money to 100% a game.

6/10, recommend offline unless you have friends or just want to punish yourself with PVP.

Edit: Some achievements are bugged and won't unlock. Ive even tried remaking my character and doesn't work then find out its a known issue. 8 yearold game is still having those kind of problems... and you wan't me to pay 150+ for DLC? At least I found someone to just farm online achs with since the playerbase picks the same moveset... do better for X3 please, if you'll even make it.

I won't buy anymore 2K products. This game was gifted to me by friend and i love it. Shame it's dead because 2K does what 2K does. This is why I won't buy anymore Borderlands titles. **** 2K for letting this beautiful game die. Trading cards are cool I guess.

But people will still blindly buy 2K games without even thinking. Sad.

Would be an absolutely stellar game if it weren't for the horrific save feature alone. I would not pay 14.99 for this game just on the save issue alone. At the time of this review, i'm only partially through Nightmare.

There wasn't enough in this to warrant 40$ being spent. Story has a ton of plot holes. If I hadn't found it onsale, i wouldn't have bought it. just a few extra hours of campaign and a few "new" characters. No new achievements.

Games with huge maps are great. But 90% of the game is walking on top of clunky combat mechanics.

Not great enough for me to pick up and play with friends. Could be infinitely better. Especially if it had.... MOD SUPPORT...

So let me actually review it.

-Game has many game breaking bugs

-Dev seems to have abandoned it, very little community activity

-In the event a quest NPC gets stuck in a wall or floor and you can't hit them, just die, and start the whole quest over. Using any type of 3rd party program will bug the game and make some quests unable to be completed(mod support would fix this, bc the community would solve it). So far for me, this has bugged the game save every single time. Dev needs to fix these spawning issues at the very least.

-Walking sim. No options to fast travel except for some tubes, which aren't super useful and take a lot of time to repair. 99% of this game is walking back and forth.

-Needs more story.

-Combat reminds you of Fallout, but is REALLY janky.

-Dying a lot isn't a real big issue, until your pack gets bugged into the terrain. Wildly frustrating.


I had this game on my wishlist for a long time. Thanks Steamgifts for helping me save some money.

If the Dev doesn't want to fix these problems, they need to either give us a developer console and/or allow major mod support. Only suggest if you get it on a huge sale or for free like I did. Steamgifts is giving away a ton of them right now during christmas.

I will never buy another 2K product ever again

Very poorly optimized. i can play Elden Ring but this runs like crap? Get out.

This has been a kick in the pants. Played more than 50% of it via Family Share from a buddy of mine, because at the time I was afraid my 1060 couldn't handle it. My 7yo GPU man handled this game just fine.

A month after i upgraded to a 1660 Super I bought the RE2/3/8 bundle last week. Played 2/3 and got to 8.. i don't even get a black screen. It just crashes when i try to load a save or start a new game. I don't even own the DLC yet. And now i'm jumping off the fence and won't be buying the DLC after this fiasco.

Capcom, i'm gonna be real with you guys. As someone who has been playing Capcom games since the release of Megaman 1 on NES, and bought the ORIGINAL Resident Evil a billion years ago... I need to say, you are not an indie developer. You are a AAA manufacturer. I need you guys to step up and reflect that.

I'm really mad I bought the game now. Even on sale, I'm not going to recommend it. Maybe if it was free. All my current game time is tinkering with settings or trying to find work arounds while tabbed out at the title screen.

After reinstalling it 6 times, quintuple checking drivers, nvidia experience troubleshooting, it finally worked. I don't even know what I did, but after the 6th reinstall, it finally worked.

Get it if it's on sale i guess. Its not a bad game at all. Great story and pacing. But if you run into issues, the issues are MASSIVE.

On sale and with the Door Mod(or 70% of your game time will be faux load screens)

Camera angles will make you frustrated and sometimes nauseous.

A few fatal crashes when tabbing out. But roughly the same game aside from better graphics and a few different location/item changes.

Wasn't worth the download. Can't play without slugging through the tutorial full of bots. You can keep this.
