Very fun solo, even more fun when playing with friends.

Pretty amazing car game. But I wouldn't call it a true racing game. It's pretty arcade-y, the road races lack oomph, as in they are just regulated street races basically. There are no true racing circuits in this game. The rally races are also not very rally since like 70% of the race is spent on asphalt roads.

However, the upside is the drifting road segments all over the map, most of them are fun to do, and with tuning, almost any in the game can be drifted. They also have a wide selection of cars in the game, to satisfy whatever car needs you have. The tuning mechanic in the game is also pretty fun and very detailed. I wish I had more control over how my car looks beyond just liveries and paint jobs. It'll be great to also customise the interior, but it's a lot to ask for.

Braindead fun

The game is now quite playable, and I do enjoy the game right now. Kudos to CD Projekt Red for continuing the to update the game to what was promised.

Waiting for my RTX 3080 so that I can continue this game on Ultra settings rofl

A very enjoyable game with easily more than 70 hours of content. It has cute and visually pleasing graphics, with very satisfying audio cues when interacting objects around you. This game is an easy recommend even at full price.

A prevalent issue is controller controls. They are really bad, currently this game is suited for keyboard & mouse controls. Controller controls are essentially k&m controls mapped onto a controller. You can't customise controller controls, and they don't even tell you what button does, I had to figure it out myself. Terrible controller support in my opinion.

It had a really disappointing start, with all that undelivered promises. I was part of the hype train, and got the game too. However over the years, Hello Games has not abandoned their game and made the game slightly more bearable over time, and now it is pretty fun. I'm not exactly sure why I continue playing the game, it is sort of fun, and pretty relaxing and soothing I suppose.

One really major con that caused me to have such a low play time is the sluggish interface. Almost everything you do is a channel of some sort (press and hold) and it makes every single task just a tiny bit more annoying to do. It's akin to being held down by weights or a prison iron ball, really unbearable at time.

Overall, it's a pretty and fun game, if your computer can run it. Definitely recommend if you're a slow, methodical gamer. Not so much if you crave action and boom booms.
