The second in the series of "Role-Playing Shooters" designed by Gearbox Software, this crazy game will have you looting and shooting through the main campaign and various DLC, as well as laughing at the dialogue and absurd humor that the game employs. There is hours upon hours of content, along with multiple playthrough modes per character, so it may end up keeping you busy for a while. If we're being honest, one should really play the game to truly know if it's a good game; descriptions simply don't do it justice.

This game is about a lot of things: exploring many procedurally generated planets (with varying types), gathering resources, constructing various structures, and saving the universe from an ancient cosmic evil.

Seven races are available for your character: from the cultured Hylotl, gas-bag Novakid and advanced Apex, to the vicious Floran, ritualistic Avian, medieval Glitch and even the normal Human, they all have their own distinct personailty and unique histories to them.

There are plenty of other things to mention (such as the varying enemies, weapons and space exploration), but really should be discovered for one's self.

For it's time, Half-Life was revolutionary. Today, it's over 20 years old, and yet it still holds up as a great shooter. Half-Life, along with Unreal, helped pioneer the concept of telling a story directly through the game instead of through cutscenes. It can be difficult at times, and the AI makes some questionable choices, but it's not very problematic.

If nothing else, Half-Life serves as a playable reminder as to how far FPS games have come since its release.

For only 10 dollars, you can get an expansive game bursting at the seams with content. Several biomes to explore, many ores to dig up and make stuff out of, a cast of colorful and diverse NPCs, hundreds of enemies to massacre, 20+ bosses, multiple unique events (there's even a collab event), and a ludicrous amounts of weapons and items. I recommend that you at least give this one a try.

I mean, I got 1100+ hours out of it, why can't you?

Now you're not only thinking with Portals, you're thinking with also sorts of other testing elements. Combine that with a unique set of characters, expansive environments, and even more complex (and sometimes frustrating) puzzles, and you've got a special kind of game. As for Co-op, it is twice the portal-flinging gel-splattering cube-dropping button-pressing turret-dodging ridiculousness of the single player. As for the level editor, that may be one of the main reasons I got this game. Lets you be creative.

Also, you can fry a turret with a Thermal Discouragement Beam.

10/10 would fry a turret again.
