Early Access Review
This is honestly a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I am learning a ton of new words and their definitions. I even discovered that there is a selection of scrabble words and a massive community behind it!

It's a free game and an unique take on the battle royale genre. I highly suggest trying this out even if scrabble is nothing for you. It is something fresh in the massive pool of clones and asset flips that is also known as the Steam Store.

Quite therapeutic to slaughter a bunch of cute looking animals.

But seriously, this game actually plays quite nicely has a couple of skill involved mechanics and looks super adorable. On top of that it is free!

For the price you pay it isn't worth it. Even during a sale where I got it for 30 euros it left me conflicted about whether I should recommend it or not. So on sale I'd say base your judgement on the other reviews and the following points I personally have. If I had paid 10-15 euros for this game then I would recommend it, but only after you are aware about the flaws, because they are game breaking.

The good
+ The game itself is visually pleasing. It has very nice aesthetics.
+ Quite original story and overall setting.
+ Movement mechanics! There are a few special mounts with different movement mechanics.
+ Mobility. You can move a lot, you are fast and agile.
+ Easy game. Very noob friendly.
+ Character creation. This honestly blew me away. It is very interesting and original. You can alter your character throughout the play as well due to the mutation and all that.
+ Bottomless inventory.
+ Craft whatever, whenever and whereever you want!
+ No durability on anything you make.
+ Breaking your items gives literally everything back, so that you can essentially make it again or use it for something new.
+ Ability to switch from class and playstyle when you want.
+ You can actually maximize every single stat.
+ Combat is very easy to learn and to master. Even new players will get the fullest out of combat in no time.
+ The tutorials are actually very good, they come when you need it and give what you need, no more, no less.

The bad
- Despite the good visuals it is very mediocre considering the fact this is where most time went. Dont forget that it is a full priced AAA title as well and for that, it is bad.
- The story is very lackluster and mediocre. For a game the story is quite unique, in general it is cliche and even boring at times.
- The bosses and their attacks are just reskins from each other. There are 6 bosses in total (you fight 1 2 times though) each boss shares pretty much the same mechanics, rotations and strategy as the other bosses. So master one boss and suddenly all of them are easy.
- The game takes roughly 20 hours to complete, however after the first 3-4 hours you have seen it all. Anything after that is just pure repetition. Talk to npc A to fetch object A. Deliver object A to npc B. This x100 is the main story in a nutshell. I found some side quests a lot more dynamic and interesting than the main story.
- You can only use the boat in a special river. Not all rivers/waters, why not? Same applies to all other special mounts. They would make the game so much better if I could use them everywhere. You don't get more health or more damage either so it doesn't make sense to limit them to a specific area despite having the ability to summon them every where. It doesn't get summoned though because any other area doesn't allow the special mount there. You can however glitch the special mount from area A to B. It is gone though when you fast travel or so.
- Extreme game mode is extremely underwhelming. Enemies are bullet sponges with high damage output, past level 20 they are extremely easy though. This includes bosses and mini bosses.
- Lost potential in mutations that can alter your character as you level up.
- Bug galore! There is a freaking lot of them, I will dedicate a section to this.
- Ability to choose playstyles, however on extreme you will be forced in boss fights to have hybrid playstyles or purely long distance. My full melee only build was unplayable in boss fights. Extreme mode is punishing, but you get punished for the bugs that the game has as well, which makes range/psionic the meta.
- The most frustrating mechanic in player movement is the prediction. It tries to predict what you are doing in order to get some "sick" moves. Instead what happens is that you want to strafe/roll to the left/right while shooting and you end up dashing forward straight into an attack, which will trigger a ton of bugs causing you to die. At times I literally just dont do anything in order to ensure that the game will not think that I want to dash forward straight into a combo attack from a boss.
- The combat itself is extremely simple, there are no combos. Left click, right click and then pressing F is not what I consider to be a combo. Especially when you only have 4-6 attacks per weapon type like this at best. It is unfortunate that this AAA game does not excel in the areas where it should.
- The endings are exactly the same. One is just bright due to the sun and the other due to fire. So dedicating an entire playthrough for the other ending and different experiences... yeah you won't experience any of that other than 1/10 sentences in a dialogue being slightly different. In ending A the NPC does not work with you or give you quests after you helped him. In ending B the NPC gets killed by you, so it doesn't give you quests etc. Letting the NPC live/die does not open any new routes. So the final result is that you gained/lost literally nothing.

The bugs/glitches
This game has a lot of bugs... game breaking and experience breaking bugs unfortunately. At plenty of buildings there are floors where the concrete acts as if you are walking in water. This eventually makes you drown. Sure you can jump out of it, but I should not be able to drown in a solid block of concrete on the third floor of a 5 story building.
The most annoying thing an user can experience when playing any game is when they die due to bugs or glitches in the game. Essentially you get killed by the fault of a game not the mistake you made. This made learning bosses extremely tough as some boss mechanics have a lot of bugs. For example homing boulders that curve to your position no matter how many times you dodge or roll, your direction doesn't matter either.
Melee attacks from bosses and mini bosses that have hitboxes that exceed they physical form by a lot (no, this is not an AOE attack).
A single attack of a boss can hit you multiple times, including an attack where any boss swipes the hand from the left to the right. You are supposed to get hit once, bounce back and then get back into melee distance. What actually happens is you get hit once, bounce to the boss and receive 1-2 more hits in the same attack. A lot of bosses have attacks orientated towards player positions and not their own, so they will home their movement, attack etc towards you. Even if you are high in the sky. I had the final boss do an earth quake attack with wave ripples in mid air...
Another sample is that the boss throuws a boulder at you, the boulder bounces off you and knocks you back, because it is still in the homing phase it homes right back to you while you are getting knocked back. If this is intended it looks extremely wonky. But you basically get killed instantly because you get hit 2-3 times like this.
Attacks that make you clip in the boss, meaning you get stuck in for example an arm when you failed to dodge.
The list is a lot bigger than this about frustrating issues persistent in the game.

Conclusion/TLDR
Honestly the cons outweight the pros. The thing is that the little refreshing things in the game are very nice. I hate it when I buy a game orientated towards crafting and then I have to spend 100 hours gathering materials before I can enjoy the crafting. This game does not do that, which I appreciate. Same thing applies to switching combat styles and choosing classes. Even in game you can completely change your genetic structure (class) in order to get the best of a different playstyle.
If there were no game breaking bugs then I would've hit yes instead of no.

This skin is amazing, not only does she look absolutely fantastic, the make-up on the skin matches very well with the outfit. Something that can not be said about many many other skins. As weird as it might sound, this skin feels like it really defines Loba as a weaponsmaster. Which she in a way is since she has access to a lot of ammo and weapons due to her blackmarket.

Is it worth your money? Absolutely. Technically the skin costs 10 euros since you get 1000 coins with it as well. I dont consider the charm and other extra's to be of value, they are a nice addition though.

Besides that it is a free to play game that has given me plenty of hours of entertainment. More than a lot of the latest AAA titles failed to do. So I don't mind supporting them by purchasing this. A 2 birds with 1 stone situation for me.

It is honestly a good game that is actively updated with big updates.
The most impressive thing is that this game is free!
It is interesting to play alone but a ton of fun to play with friends.
Like any roguelike it has a learning curve, but once you nail it the toughest enemies will seem weak when you know how to fight them.

Definitely worth trying.

The more you play this game the more you realize that you stand absolutely no chance against anything, even yourself.

Wait for the big patch in januari, but if you can't, it is a really solid game like no other. I truly enjoy the story and the graphics. Unfortunately there are a lot game breaking bugs present that can prevent your progress such as side quests becoming impossible to complete due to objective spawning 650m underneath the map, characters always hitting you with melee despite the distance etc.

But the game is fun. I haven't enjoyed a game this much in a while, that's why I can ignore its flaws and appreciate the charms. The character development, story building, plot, story options, upgrades and plenty more are amazing and suiting for this game! Night city is absolutely gorgeous and holds plenty of secrets. I do recommend waiting until the big patch is out, like they did with the Witcher 3, but other than that it is an amazing game, even without RTX.
I also love the amount of easter eggs, there are so damn many and I appreciate every single one of them.

If you plan on playing it at least do the following for now:
* set launch options to "--launcher-skip" so that steam overlay works in the game
* make sure your audio is at 44100hz at 24 bit to prevent popping noises
* edit the config file for more vram and ram (significantly boosts fps)
