Meadow is a charming game where you explore, interact with other players, and collect various items to unlock skins, emotes, and so on. Not really an exciting game, but it's rather nice if you enjoy hanging out and exploring with others.

There is no text or voice chat, so if one of your issues with interacting with strangers online is some of the rude or offensive things they say, you don't really have to worry about that here. Communication is done through emotes ( expressive images ) and your player model's behavior. Generally the worst thing that happens is others being impatient and collecting things before you can get to them ( they will disappear after a while once someone collects it ), but if you can find patient and friendly players to hang out with, it can be quite fun.

The controls can be a bit wonky, but I get used to them after playing for a while, although I still struggle if I am trying to keep up with others, move the camera, and take screenshots at the same time.

For some reason switching animals and turning off the game takes a really long time. It's ridiculous and frustrating. I hope they improve this soon.

Some animals, skins, achievements, etc require additional purchases. This doesn't really bother me, but I can understand why it would bother others.

Overall I recommend it, but some might feel it is boring.

This game is the reason I joined Steam. I'm not really into zombie games, but the characters seemed pretty cool, so I gave it a chance. It's pretty fun, especially with friends.

( Rather short due to me trying to rush out a review before the Steam Awards nominations ends. I do quite like it though, and suspect many others will as well. )

A rather simple idle game that you can run in the background while you're doing other things. Not the most exciting game on Steam, but it can be oddly fun from time to time and there's quite a bit of silly humor involved. There's not really much point to it, but it can give you something to click around on while thinking or trying to pass the time.

It's free to play and can basically be played without spending any real cash, but there are slow points and the events will likely give players a bit of trouble, since they are only available to play for a limited time ( some of them do come back around, but with everything reset ). It does try to encourage you to spend real money, which may bother some players, but it doesn't really bother me. I have yet to spend any money, although I would like to, and generally do okay, but it takes quite a long time to build up enough resources to complete planets.

I intended to just run this game to get the card drops and that was it, but I played it a little bit and enjoyed it enough to continue even after the drops had finished to the point of pretty much completing it ( but didn't get all of the achievements ). I found the game to be pretty fun and would like to get the other games from this franchise at some point.

It's just a small game with quite a few of levels that have specific tasks you need to do. Not much else to it, but for what it is, I think it is enjoyable. It is also a bit quirky in that the pigs "lay" meat ( I wish it worked like that in the real world, honestly ).

As far as cons, my main gripe would be that apparently animals can starve even when they are surrounded by food, which makes getting the achievement for keeping all of the animals well fed rather difficult.
