Incredible remaster, plays great with a controller and so far, it feels like im playing the original with revamped ui/graphics. There are some issues that need to be addressed like fixing fishing rates or more slots for the hotbar for kbm users but nothing that could hinder the experience, at least we know the team listens to feedback.

Ever since the announcement, i questioned if the final version would be as what i expect, the demo increased my doubts but, now that im finally playing it im truly satisfied with what they delivered. Props to the team for handling this classic masterpiece the way it should, and the best part? is that all 4 games are included in just one package. The best dungeon crawler ever is back.

What resident evil 7 should have been instead of that hide and seek borefest we got.

Horror survival at its finest, akin to resident evil 7/8. Takes place in a hotel full of puzzles, which there are TONS; some of them a bit obtuse and they will have you running around the place feeling lost but not bad enough that they feel impossible to complete. Combat is fun but a bit janky due to how slow the character cycles through weapons.

The presentation is insane tho, graphics, performance, menuing, details, environment, atmosphere, it all makes it feel like it was developed by a big studio.

For the price and length (10ish hours) it was truly a survival horror experience that kept me on my toes through the whole playthrough.

Its bioshock in space, you explore like in fallout but it all feels like system shock.

Phenomenal game, blew my mind.

Back when this game got announced, for some reason, i thought it would be a ninja gaiden inspired indie arpg, but after playing it, it was nothing like it, instead, i got to experience a dmc1 world with bayonetta gameplay. And to my surprise, after playing multiple missions and taking between 30 minutes to an hour to beat them, it hit me that i wasnt playing a cool indie game, but a full fledged-deep combat hack n slash.

The main concern and reason why it gets hate its due to its fixed camera angles. The whole game plays somewhat similar to dmc1, as in you will walk to a different room without being able to move your camera around (from a far away angle in this case tho). Personally i didnt find it annoying at all, if you have played the 3d ninja gaiden games or dmc1 youll be used to corridors or areas with a fixed camera, same with the platforming aspects.

The combat is top notch, its challenging, fluid and the only way to get good at it is by learning and using everything the game throws at you. Through the game, youll be given multiple weapons which are a must to use (in harder difficulties at least) in order to keep up with the different type of enemies. Theres a unique mechanic the game introduces which makes the game a bit more challenging but adds an extra layer of deepness to it. The story was p cool, the game is LENGTHY (took me 20ish hours to beat it on hard) and i must say the art and level design are so well done, even tho im not too much into dark fantasy.

Its not an exaggeration when i say this might be one of the best new gen hack n slash games ive played.

Imagine if, right after Overdose was released, a third Gungrave game had been fully developed, but the developers decided to do nothing with it instead of releasing it. Twenty years later, it's time to unleash the beast, and to keep up with the latest trends, they slapped Unreal Engine 4 all over it.

The game focuses on its gameplay loop, and its fun, id say it plays like the original games with a much better flow,. You earn points after finishing a mission, which you can spend in the lab for upgrades. If youre skilled enough, I recommend starting on hard difficulty for your first run, it will make the game a bit more challenging and sweaty.

I wouldnt consider it perfect, though. My biggest complaint is how the quality of the story and cutscenes varies. What I absolutely loved, however, is that theres not a single collectible, secret, or unlockable. All you have to do is follow the arrow and shoot anyone who tries to kill you. Thats RARE nowadays, as most games try to overwhelm you with countless collectibles and things to do.

Thats pretty much what Gungrave G.O.R.E. is: an absolute blast from start to finish. In many ways, it feels like playing a PS2 game. Some might consider that “bad,” but sometimes, all we want is to shoot nonstop without interruptions.

As a tropico only player, i found steamworld build less punishing but a bit busier in comparison. Follows a more "expand till you make it" gameplay loop instead of having multiple goals or faction balancing; your sole objective is to keep expanding to be able to sustain the next facility and progress to the next objective. Sadly my only complain AND possibly the most important aspect in any sim building is missing, replay value; the game offers around 5 maps with unique themes and layouts but the main objective doesnt change, its a single story mode campaign which for a first run it took me 10 hours to beat, all in one sitting. Achievements are the only reason youd want to come back if you want to knockdown challenges, sandbox mode exists too for the mindlessly building.

Besides the town management, there are mines with multiple underground levels that require setting up machinery in order to obtain more materials exclusive to these areas. At some point youll be attacked by enemies, adding a defensive element as you mine further.

The difficulty isnt punishing, i played it on balanced mode and theres no way to lose the game, youll just hinder your progress until you rearrange your supplies.
The graphics and overall look of the game is nice, i liked it a lot and the ui is easy to follow.
The music reminded me of borderlands and it was decent enough to never make me want to play my own music over it.

Overall, i enjoyed this game quite a bit, considering how tropico is always my to-go sim, it was a fun single playthrough experience.
