I did not liked it, I prefer historical accuracy, this game is very influenced by the movies, but deserves a thumbs up because of quality of art and sound. Good thing I got the oportunity to try this awesome game.

BEAUTIFUL BORING INTERESTING BROKEN

Cons:

Very boring, you can’t get mad like in those GTA games or Skyrim, when you decide to rampage a city in plated armor just for fun, the concept of fun does not exist here, kill someone that is already knocked out and everyone in the room will wake up synchronously, try to catch them, they are now Usain Bolt, every one is Usain Bolt! It's very unsatisfying to be the bandit in this game, kill someone in an isolated house and they will notice on the next town and now you have penalty because a bird snitched you… Not a sandbox game.

COMBAT IS NOT FUN, although interesting, it's very tedious, once you are outnumbered you have to become Usain Bolt too, just run shoot arrows run repeat, gotta love when a bandit chases you with 2 arrows on its face... realism right. Oh yeah there is something called combat lock, it means even you want to run or escape an enemy the camera FORCES you to look at the same person, so imagine trying to escape but you can’t because you fell in love with your enemy so bad that you forgot that you have other 6 enemies attacking you, and you can’t turn back to flee. Either you go full nerd on this peculiar combat system or install a mod so the character stops looking at the same enemy all the time. You will only see the camera shaking and violently moving all around with the hitting sounds to add more irritation to this game, ending with the "Game Over" screen. You can't escape neither you can't kill them.

https://youtu.be/53cBM7fRPUo

Collision in this game is irritating, imagine you are in the forest but you can’t pass a wall of bushes even tho you can see the other side, you fall into a river you have to go all the way around to get out, even tho you can clearly see there is a slope in front of you and looks walkable… and sometimes you have to walk ridiculously way too much.

If you use the “wait” or “sleep” feature for some reason the developers decided to psychologically torture you by making the “last hour” on the virtual clock stupidly and unnecessarily slow, like what’s the point on doing that? just to add more suspense!? You are already using a shortcut feature!

Pros:

Beautiful in general, forests, rivers, towns, too much detail on everything. This game deserves an award for that!

Interesting, if you like history this is for you, it is based on real places and historical events.

Somehow well made story, but I cared more for the medieval sand box historical adventure.

Way too interesting items in almost every place, seems handmade, wooden clutter, paintings, cloth, too many armors, too many weapons, churches and such. So if you like medieval stuff this is for you.

Neutral:

Shops are realistic, so if it runs out of money sell your stuff somewhere else, (thank Skyrim for starting this trend) a yeah and they can only buy certain type of items and give you like 20% of the value. You have to wait for the owner to be on service hours of you will be considered a trespasser.

Towns are clogged just to keep the historical fidelity I guess, you will feel like traveling a maze. Where was that NPC, was it up? oh there is another door here and another there, but to reach that one you have to go all the way around.

The horse has superpowers, rarely will die and it can avoid some collisions and slopes, I guess the developers saw that coming. So the horse is a must have. It also teleports and can carry a ridiculous quantity of dense items, even another horse!

Your character must sleep, eat and take a shower, but I think for some reason getting dirty in this game happens way too often.

The bow in this game makes you feel like if you had 2 left hands with Parkinson. You can improve the skill of it and the staggering and shaking lessens.

Even tho I love medieval music (and I really mean it) for some reason the music on this game seems generic, repetitive and sometimes very boring (like those harp sounds while on the forest).

Concluding

Get this game if you really like medieval history with well made towns, forests castles, clothes, armors, farms, churches, etc. Don’t buy this if you have Skyrim in mind, or some rampage kill mischief idea of a game, this game feels more like a documentary than an action fun movie.

I tried to love this game but I'm so disappointed and frustrated of the combat system, even tho I made an archer class which is very good at sprinting, you still get outrun, this games just decided to screw you up, there is nothing you can do, but to escape the little events of action, making it more boring, drop all the hope you had for this beautiful broken game which is only realistic whenever it wants.

Pros:

Many weapons: SMG, assault rifles, pistols, revolvers, grenades, sticky bombs, sniper rifles, proximity mines, even explosive bullets, rocket launchers, etc.

Many vehicles: Bikes, scooters, cars, trucks, submarines, tanks, combat airplanes, helicopters, combat helicopters, huge war planes, ridiculous flying bikes & flying cars.

Many events: Bikes, cars & airplane races, events in the middle session, such as destroying stuff in the city, stealing cars as much as you can & PVP private matches but in my opinion are very monotonous.

Scene: Pretty good job, graphics & movements looks very realistic, they deserve recognition for that, looks movie like, & nice effort was put in game, rain, sunset, sunrays & shades. Good quality including the movement from NPC & character.

Missions: Interesting & well made (voices & acting), if you are fan of action movies is almost as watching one but you interact with it where your actions influence the output, you meet 2 to 4 players most times to do missions like, shooting helicopters from a car, delivering drugs, escaping from a prison or assault a laboratory “mission impossible” style.

Cons:

Hackers: They’re everywhere, I’ve seen them since I bought the game, I guess RockStar is doing a bad job, they can’t hold the cheaters, they always appear probably the same ones, they just log in to ruin people’s fun, while you are grinding to get money they have everything & can instantly kill you, they can kick you out of session, copy your name & cheat with it, if you kill them back they block you with cages, the game is technically theirs in all aspects, do you want to waste your money with this open world “Garry’s Mods”? it’s not an open world mafia like, there are always those groups of players that bomb you with a helicopter & if for some reason you manage to shoot them down a hacker will pop up from the group & block you; kills the game, mischief & sense of playing a mafia game. I don’t understand how such a huge company like RockStar can’t take down those hackers, there have been great anticheat fixes in other games such as Overwatch, LoL, H1Z1.

Passive mode feature: It was meant to protect players that just want to chill out & do something else in the game, but it’s being exploited so bad, players use it as a shield that can be turned on & off to abuse & opportunistically grief players, I’m not angry because players kill me, but because the battle is going further than what the game is, very coward way to play, & I really don’t like the idea & play style about being a “enable passive” switcheroo, I could use any weapon/tactic but not that cowardly using features that go beyond the game to just never loose (tryhards they try hard at all cost to not loose), why do they even go massive killing if at the end they are sore losers?, imagine a UFC fight where one of the fighters gives 1 or 2 punches then it runs behind the cage, but then it comes back to punch some more, & does that over & over again. It’s not fair at all, I mean getting killed on game by an avenger plane is fine because is part of the game, that is what is meant to be, it really makes me angry & frustrated I just can’t understand how come they can be such abusive coward warriors, & just chicken out when they are receiving their consequences for their acts.

Not my video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2c-URlPOrZY

“Realistic” clunky controls: You command the character to go back, takes few steps does a U turn & runs back, causing you to fall if you are ninja sniping from a tower, it gets stuck sometimes in wrong places taking cover, or climbing a random ladder when wanted to run across an alley, maybe they wanted to be loyal to their motion capture, but it’s still a video game, we still depend on button pressing, you press to move left, the character does not goes left, it rather makes an animation to turn the feet to the left, then the head looks to the left, steps accelerate & finally you are moving left. If you are used to play other games like Call of Duty, your patience will be tested, feels like controlling a horse.

Clogged with weapons: Eventually you will gain many weapons, the character can carry a whole arsenal, you think is a good thing, but NO, you are chasing someone, you realize that you need a grenade launcher to blow his car before it escapes the car crash, if you are in a bike you have to roll the mouse wheel to browse weapons passing over pistol A, pistol B, pistol C, pistol D, revolver 1, revolver 2, SMG 1, SMG 2, SMG 3, sticky bomb, proximity mine, grenades, & finally grenade launcher, but in that split second the adversary sprayed you with an SMG; “roll the mouse wheel to the other side” same thing applies, if you are looking for a SMG you will still have to roll all your way passing the “last arsenals” to get it, because it’s in the middle. “Get a gun locker” guess what? it doesn’t works during missions instances, & in my opinion it’s a necessary feature you have to BUY in order to correct the bad programming clogging of weapons, for newcomers, you must waste at least 500k at least only to get rid of that annoying thing, remember you need to buy a business property first to gain access to buy a gun locker! Weapon clogging it’s annoying on foot, several weapons on the same button, your favorite pistol with maxed out status on button 1 but you already have other pistols, you must make sure you are using your fav pistol by pressing it several times, every time before any shooting, loosing attention on the gun wheel rather than the combat, “WTF I actually wanted to use the automatic AP pistol, not this slow vintage carbine”.

1 click buy: When browsing weapons on store, games never ask “You want to buy X weapon for Z money?” you buy everything with 1 click & can’t sell it back. My brain got confused, I never had a game where you buy with just 1 click, I was trying to see details just like in every other game, where you confirm everything at the end… Woops silly me!

Interrupting spam: Messages all the time (phone & mail), NPCS repeating you over & over the same messages, interrupting your game, when they call CONTROLS ARE BLOCKED! The game repeats same mini tutorial messages that you already know, until now I haven’t seen a way to block those messages. I was shooting a guy that blew up my delivery cargo, right at the moment I had my weapon pointing to his head “ring, ring! Hello I’m calling you to say sorry for your cargo loss” then you get killed again in that critical split second, the player escapes & not even the satisfaction of revenge remained.

Conclusion

If you are a hardcore legit player, don’t waste money, you’ll be disappointed by how many tumors log in to just ruin your free time, buy something better there should be an option! (A refund will be hard because it takes long for loading, & tutorials can take 1 hour). Free roam PVP ruined with hackers & passive mode exploiters, forget about going hitman.

Enjoy with your friends only, story mode is funny, pretty cars goes brum brum, but sooner or later you will get bored of doing the same & when you grinded money to buy X super weapon, still worthless thanks to hackers/exploiters. Prettiness & the many things to discover is what glued me to play, sooner or later you will hit the dysfunctional PVP, in my case, I got geared for PVPg… something that is broken. I have many hours on game because of this grind, I gave up! I keep this on my library just in case some friend wants to play… I’m disappointed & bitter to this game; probably I won’t buy GTA 6, if I could get a refund I would accept it.

Pros:

Is fun playing as dinosaur: You can ram people, hook them from the shoulders then throw them to the abyss or eat them, ambush players from the bushes, is so freaking hilarious and I never get tired of it.

Is fun playing as human: Is like any other first person shooter, many tactical weapons such as, tranquilizers, nets to trap the creatures, flamethrowers, sniper rifles, grenades, etc.

It has good quantity of action to enjoy and have fun if you like mischief. The concept of beast VS human should be imitated by more games, and this is why I liked this.

Quite decent graphics, ok maybe not, but to my standards is ok for me. In other words not the best graphics but neither lame or cartoonish.

It feels pretty much like a "Jurassic Park" ambience.

Cons:

This is the Achilles heel, the multiplayer is lonely, in my case I found only 1 official server with a decent ping but 0 players and the others were over 130 ms, and yet not many players like 4 vs 4, I am saying this because I played it before and it was like freaking 8 vs 8 or even more, it was an amazing chaotic fun! My theory is that the servers were full when this game was sold on discount season, else after that? It’s empty, so that ‘s why I give thumbs down, listen to my advice, don’t buy games with low players on it, especially if you like multiplayer (be careful with Dino D-Day too). There is single player mode but I have not played it for long so I don’t know what to say about it and there are servers (not official servers) that is just for like RPG or something like that I have not played those either because according to other player’s reviews I feel like is going to be a silly mode full with immature kids that I would get banned for not acting like them, I have not touched that.

I asked for a refund (denied) because Steam says on their politics that in some cases even if the time is exceeded over 2 hours there can be a refund, my reason was that the multiplayer was lonely and I did not wanted to have an ornamental game on my library, so learn from my experience and think twice when buying cheap games that may appear full of players during discount seasons but might be very lonely after that.

Pros:

Physics are pretty good: If you love mechanics, machines, structures and cars you will love it. The game grants total freedom however you want to build your “chunk of junk” with wheels, but you must consider the physics: center of mass, engine, devices or weapons used, resistance, type of wheels, acceleration, torque and terrain, etc.

Amazing explosions: I love how they programmed the inertias and sound effects for the explosions; I enjoy the game even if I lose the match.

Interesting “characters icons” and models: I like Mad Max, so the cars and characters (or the icons, because there are no 3D NPCs at all, yet…) are like inspired from that movie/game, you can craft an amazing rusty fast car, with pike wheels, that shoots rockets and does damage when crashing others!

Descent graphics: I give it a 9.5/10 on graphics; textures are pretty realistic but not HD when you zoom up (is not like you will play zoomed up or you won’t care while on action). The wheels don’t look wet when driving over water and there’s not mud, but I would say I am satisfied enough for the rest of the effects, such as sun rays, dust from the wheels, explosions, rusted realistic wasted metals, and even metallic shiny chromed metals.

Cons:

Bad music: You are on the garage and there goes few melodies with country soft rock relaxing music and that it, that’s the only music you will hear, I was expecting combat music or a different genre, which would be badass and enjoyable.

Excuses to waste resources!: You forcibly pay to RENT “crafting tables” to craft your gear; the worst part is that you forcibly have to rent 5; even if you only wanted to craft 1 piece, so you must craft 4 pieces and luckily sell those at good price to get your money back, even if you made good sale, you somehow wasted time because it takes 1 hour to craft each. The economic system seems psychologically uncomfortable for newcomers. Also the containers seem a trick to waste resources, because the “rolling gamble” thingy always lands on a lame gear aside of a good one, so if you are a new you will fall for the trick of rerolling again spending 50 to 200 scrap (or about 3 coins in value) to get a common gear that is less than 0.50 coins, the “rolling gamble” thing, seems like a visual illusion because on the “slot machine” you see about 6 good gears aside 3 lame gears, so it makes you think that the probabilities are high to get a good gear, but there are myths on forums that the probabilities are 1% to get something better than common. Also there’s always fluctuation, you buy something at 40 coins, but you will get 35 if you sell it directly or you could sell it at 40 again but you have to beat about the price of about 50 sellers, I’m ok with that but kind of seems like an excuse too. This should be paid to get more not pay to fill the “economic lacks”. I imagine there was an economist on the production team and came with this idea, that merchandising method may not work because is applied to gamers, and gamers and lack of motivation don’t mix, I bet many people hate this.

Not much to do: There’s only one combat mode for PVP (capture a zone or kill everyone) and you will only experience the same battle mode over and over if you want to play vs humans. There should be way more events and minigames, because this game as very good potential for many other type of games due the reason that you can create machines however you want. About the events, I ask myself why there’s only 1 event per day for like 2 hours only!? If they want more people there should be always at least 1 event every time, there’s people that can’t play at certain times.

This is a game with 3 factions, US army, Commonwealth and Axis, it would be even better if this game included the USSR and Japan Empire infantries but it’s ok in my opinion. There are no hubs or anything to indicate if you killed enemy or not, you have to be cautious because you could kill accidentally your teammate, this is like playing hardcore Call of Duty, no indicators, no bullet counting, no name tags, only a map and a compass. I like it because it challenges you to really think and make decisions strategically, I always wanted to play something like this and I’m happy that I got this game. Most of the matches are about capturing a zone, but you are limited to die a number of times, if you waste your chances the opposition wins.

Controls are pretty much like Call of Duty series, you can prone, crouch, aim and hold breath, sprint, etc. Each faction has 9 classes by default and you could modify the loadout depending on how much weight the soldier can carry. Weapons like: guns, submachine guns, heavy machine guns, rocket launchers, grenades, smoke grenades, sniper rifles, flamethrowers, etc. Also you can call bombers to bomb zones on the map.

Pros:

Simple and nice game for first person shooter.

Control feeling is good.

Many weapons and combinations to configure the load out.

Immersive play style.

Voice commands to alert your team.

Very good voice acting.

Cons:

The menu interface is very buggy, it crashed me like 5 times and I had to remake the load out again.

Configuring controls is complicated, not much explanation, not very intuitive.

The texts of the interface are ridiculously tiny, maybe it was to give the game a retro style, but those are very minuscule.

Graphics are not the best, but in my opinion I don’t mind about fancy graphics, just informing that if you max out the graphics is not like you will get the best, but still not bad.

This review is refereeing to the NA version that is not on steam, however references might apply to both versions.

Aion is slowly dying, and is as absurd as watching The Lords of The Ring's scene but then you see some hover bike passing followed by a pikachu, sounds weird? Well, they did that, they added pandas, unicorns, colored houses in the middle of a chaotic place, and many out of place features, so this game was majestic now is everything but Aion itself, probably because the crew was changed since 3.0, maybe they wanted to attract more players by adding many “new things” but instead they mocked this game taking it out of its essence ironically getting the total opposite effect, this game is very famous in South Korea, but I could almost bet that here players will only play this for nostalgia because in my opinion is grindy, repetitive and boring, like squeezing a whole watermelon to just get 1 drop of “juice” while there are other games that really can give fun in relation to the time spent on this game. You have to be top level with the top armor and weapons to barely enjoy and start having descent PVP, else, everything feels like a PVE or like a single player, most of the players are in the fastrack server, a subserver where there is no PVP at all. It still has amazing visual effects but recently nothing makes sense, the new updates are so lame that the BGM is fancy even in combat mode, you can still hear in the background piano tunes that totally do not match the scene, it does not even changes to something more dramatic. In my opinion Aion instead of keeping its essence seems that tried to copy other popular MMORPGs, loosing what was unique and very original. Aion is slowly dying and I dare to say that because they planned to merge the North American servers.

Pros:

Pretty game with visual effects.

The game is big and has many maps with unique sci-fi, fantasy scenes.

Good music and story but only for the content for low levels, because in my opinion it was when the game was original.

If you like PVE, this is for you.

Cons:

Since last updates lore became incoherent and rootless. They do rather create flying cows from outer space with a story that explains why is so “transcendentally important”.

Not for players who want fast and easy action. There is no PVP, until top level, and for doing that it takes a while. When you reach level 60 you will level up as fast as a bike without wheels.

Details do not make sense anymore. I would like to say that houses, cloth and mounts are very detailed but is so out of place, it totally kills the original concept.

I am not against funny animations, colored houses and such, what really pisses me off is that this game was very interesting in its story and active fun at low levels, now is disappointment compared as trying to watch Dragon Ball Z cartoon because you were expecting that, but instead getting Dragon Ball Evolution live action movie because the original author was replaced.

A game about aircraft and tanks from the World War II, all vehicles are probably from 1938 to 1949, first I will talk about the aircraft because I play it mostly; arcade mode is when you want to play directly and have fun without much simulating aero dynamics, allies and axis are mixed, realistic mode allies and axis are apart requires you to know real air combat tactics, even the engine can explode if you don’t manage it, or you wings can rip apart if you exceed the aircraft capabilities, session is longer but the game rewards you more points and “money”, and simulator is like realistic but you view everything from cabin and there is are not marks at all to identify the enemy faction so you have to use your own sense to know whether you attack or not, simulator tries to simulate everything as possible, so if you are on the X side you have to open your eyes to see the Y flag on the enemy aircraft to avoid team killing, pretty interesting if you are a pilot in real life. About the tanks; arcade mode is very fun to play, you play on your tank and if you have a decent score you can fly a bomber or fighter plane for about 1mins, so if you are ravaging in ground you can bother your enemies from the sky too, there is also artillery where you have to point on the map and it will be bombed so you can pressure your enemies. In simulator is almost the same but you can only fly planes only when you make a kill, and the planes that you can fly are those that are unlocked first, so your flying skills are proven.

Generally this game focuses on being the most realistic way as possible among mechanics, controls, accurate models, hit boxes, so no health points at all, if you hit the pilot or the engine is over.

Pros:

Amazing graphics, sound effects, cabin details and voices according nation.

Accurate models and mechanics.

Waiting queue in the Arcade mostly takes less than 30s, so is fast.

You can play with your friends and join any match side by side.

Constantly improving, probably naval vehicles will be added soon.

Moderators seem to care for their players.

You have a way lot of freedom to configure your controls.

Automatic banning system, so if you make team kills “accidentally” many times you could get temporary banned, also don’t use foul language you can get banned for that too. One of the things I like from this game is that bullies are put on the garbage, other games should imitate this.

All nation/faction available to play whenever you feel like too, no need to pay for any DLC.

You can revive scenarios that really happened in World War II.

Even if you play alone you will enjoy the campaign.

You can create your private matches to practice with bots or friends.

Is not pay to win, paying will only speed your progress but does not makes any good difference, so if you don’t pay anything at all you can have the best vehicles, or if you pay for something you will still depend on your skills and only that. So paying or not will not make difference on your combat performance. You can pay for premium aircraft that give you double points, but you still have to be good at game. Also you can even research vehicles at full that can match or even outperform premium vehicles. You can pay to buy more crew, but you already have enough crew as default and trust me, you will rarely use them all, you can pay to get more in game currency, but is not hard to get, you can pay to unlock decals, etc. But is not essential. Not paying does not takes anything of the essential of the game it kind of only “speeds you up”, in my opinion I take paying more like a donation, it’s an excellent game.

Cons:

Matches can get monotonous and repetitive, so focus on having fun rather than expecting anything else.

You really need to consult wiki pages to completely understand the complexity of its realism. Like types of bullets, perks from the crew, battle ratio.

Is complex for newcomers and confusing how the score points work or how the matches are made.

Conclusion:

If you are a fan of World War II, and you want accurate models and realism this is for you, or even if you want to play only for the “pew pew” without any like for history is a very fun game to pass time. I have played this game for years and I have not been disappointed.

Example of the simulator mode:

Graphics and background sound effects are very dramatic and detailed, if you like typical medieval "sword shield" battles, with catapults, fire torches, coliseums, crossbows, etc, this is for you. The only disadvantage that I hate is the team killing, someone bothers you by punching, and you are forced to defend yourself of that annoying player, and if you kill it you will see the most cynical act, the bully will start vote kick against you, this team killing and vote system is very broken and open to abuse the newcomers. Also I have seen that there is a way to exploit hit boxes during the combat, crouching, swinging a long high damage sword and rotating on the same point, instantly killing you. Let’s imagine that exploit never existed, the combat system depends on your timing and knowledge. Combat system feels good and realistic. There are many weapons to choose whatever you feel like: range, sharp, blunt and even fire pots; also you can interact with the traps like boiling cauldrons, ramming logs or use catapults for multi kills.
