is you like turn based combat of older JRPG's
then you will like this game
i've been having fun with it
have been enjoying ti alot
havn't run into any of the issues other ppl have had
been playing with a controller, 1440P all settings maxed, stays at 60FPS
of you gonna slip they game because it only have JP voice acting, its your loss
if a fun games, and stay true to the fairy tail storyline

This is if you ask me the worst SAO game you can buy
any of the other are miles better then this

with the campain, the AI partners who follow you around, in combat, they stand around and do NOTHING
they dont fight, they may drop one buff at the start of the fight and thats it, and it doesn't matter if u lock it to 30FPS, they still do nothing in combat

the combat is very slow paced, and sluggish, u can't cancel out of an attack animation to defend

also if your playing this thinking your going to get a new storyline, then no, if you have watched the latest SAO anime series, this is just the exact same story, so you already know whats going on

apperently it take 10+ hoursa to unlock/open up multiplayer, where this game may be good, but by that point in time, ppl will be burnt out on this game

if you want to play a SAO game, buy any of the others, they are much better, jsut make sure u use a controller

this gets a yes recommendation becasue it's halo on PC, and thats the only reason

graphics wise, there no difference between any 3 of the different settings
even when i go into my GPU's control panel and max out anti-alising/ansotric-filtering/etc, it make zero difference between "optizmied/original/enhanced"

you could run this game on a 10 year old PC, and get between performance then the xbox 360, and have it look exactly the same

alot of textures in the game have not been improved

there are zero settings to customzied GFX wise, there's 3, "performance" "original" "enhanced" and visually, there is zero difference

if you take the time, and look at all the details, there are STILL 16bit textures used for plant's etc
it is in no way an upgrade of the original game, it's just the orginal game, made to work on PC

i've play many PC games, i've had my steam account for 8-9 years, yet i've still got physical retail game disc's that pre-date steam, and those PC games had 32bit textures, that look better then some of the textures in this game

controls feel sluggish/slow
if you want to crouch, make sure you come to a complete stop first, otherwise, you wont crouch

for those who say "get a better PC" here's my specs
ryzen 7 1700(OC'd to 4GHZ)
16GB ram 3200MHz
vega64

game run's at 100 FPS+ all the time
cut scenes r locked at 60FPS
playing on a 1440P 144HZ monitor

you can start straffing,(A'D KB/mouse control) and feel/see the delay

no grpaihc settings options aside from your resolution setting/vsync/frame pacing, aside from the others i listed above, which there is zero difference between

i've only play the campaign and not bothered with PVP or co-op

but so far, it seems like there has been nothing done to the game aside from making it run on PC

if you like halo, yes buy it
if your indifferent, then wait for a sale

great game

gfx are good
sound is good
story is good
levels are fun to explore

seen alot of ppl say it's's a "souls-like" but i said its more tomb raider-ish
is it worth the price? depends if you a long term/old school star wars fan, then yes, its hands down the best star wars game that been released in a long time

if your not a star wars fan, then maybe wait for a price drop

if you've always want to play a souls-like game but have been put off by the difficulty
then this is a great game to get your feet wet with
you can have an AI tag along to make the fights easyer, or team up with online co-op
or if you really want to test yourself you can go solo
the choice is yours

it's fun, i like it
been taking my time and exploring the world
havn't really been paying much attention to the storyline tho, because most of the time games these days have storys that are about as deep as a teaspoon

gameplay is fun
graphics are good
i'm having a blast with this

i'd recommend this to anyone who's into anime, or wants to try a souls-like for the first time

was a good game, but dont buy it
with it on steam, u can play this game in windows, on linux, and also on mac
where as the epic store only support the windows platform with there launcher
and theres also all the other underhanded stuff that happens over there(transaction fee's be added on top of the price listed on the store front, security breachs, lack of features, etc, etc)

this game has done really well on steam, so why do they need to remove it from here?

game was orignally ment to be a zombie survival sandbox
they basicly stopped working on that to focus one game mode
then split it into 2 games
had them both be "pay to play"
now have switched to it F2P

with no bonus for early adopters who payed for it?

yea, theybreak games is great and breaking games

EDITED AFTER MORE TIME PLAYING
first hour was spent spamming my way through the non-stop text to get-to the gameplay
thats my only major issue really, i dont wanna spend the first hour+ reading about how to play the game
i want to play it

but once i got past that, the games pretty solid
aside from the bad menu system which doesn't support the mouse at all

its a solid fun game so far



heres a small list of cons
-can't re-bind the keys and the default settings are horrible, wepon switch button also puts away ur wep, so most of the time ur putting ur wep away instead of switching

-ability keys are setup for gamepad(IE hold trigger+press x/y/a/b to use skill) so most of the time when u press 1/2/3/4 for abilitys it just highlights the menu and doesnt use the skill

-menu is horrible to navigate, let me use the mouse for it


those 3 issue are my only problem with the game
game runs perfect tho, 90FPS constant
