It is what it looks like, Destiny gunplay, Warframe grind, and Anthem graphics. Initial launch a bit wonky attracting all the negative reviews, hopefully everything resolves soon.

Should be reasonably enjoyable for a month at least, will see how absurd the grind will be in the future.

Edit: Yup, the grind is absurd and some characters are just so unsuitable for grinding that there is very little point but playing certain characters.

Each season they try to shake things up in the worse way possible. Player base dwindling and investor disappointed only leading to further infrastructure cost cutting, more in game content grind, degrading experience.

First week reviews were ♥♥♥♥ so I kept an eye on it.

Reviews turned good and seems like devs were doing something, I'll give it a shot.

Can't connect to anything...

This game is so underrated. Its a fun little battle royal with many possibilities, someone needs to stream this and bring it mainstream.

The game is fine, but the devs genuinely do not care about any region besides KR, which is their largest player base. At times their actions are blatantly insulting to other regions. I am not sure why they even bother having servers outside of KR if they don't care.

Taking consideration of both the negative and positive reviews, and my play through, I feel this game is worth recommending.

It definitely has a Beginner's Guide feel to it, more edgy and more jump scares, but it is a starting point for anyone interested in games about depression and anxiety. It covers a stereotypical portrayal of these mental illness in good taste as well.

I do find the jump scares unnecessary, as it does not add more to the message it is trying to convey.
*SPOILER*
The ending choice with either get help or commit suicide is a bit black and white, however, I think for a free indie experience, this is reasonable. Developing a large range of choices requires more production time, as well as address those grey area issues through out the game, so I think it was acceptable with only two final choice.
As mentioned by others, the optimization is also poor, running a Gtx 1060 and it uses all of it, so for a game like this its a bit much.

*Received from Humble Monthly*

Overview:
If you have a night to spend doing absolutely nothing at home, why not waste 6+ hours of your life away pretending to enslaving all life forms in the galaxy? Or form a evil federation of elitist watching smaller empire beat each other up? Maybe trying to convert all spieces into robots is your thing?

If you like more role play and less numbers in a typical 4X game, this is your game. I am not a fan of 4X, but Stellaris takes away a lot of the number crunching and let you do some more macro management instead and have battles with other empires, or take the over galaxy through diplomacy.

Pros:
- Endless replayability
- ♥♥♥♥ ton of game time per session
- Empire customization
- Modding support
- Multiplayer
- 4X Lite
- Minor spaceship customization

Cons:
- Random research tree
- Can't trade planets between AI
- Sorta expensive
- Empires not cloud saved

TLDR:
Definite buy at discount, but if you have money to spare, this should be on your list because even at full price, it will pay itself off with just the SIngleplayer side.

Oooooo slow mode bullet dodging "puzzle" game. This is a refreshing first person shooter "puzzle" game and its originality is well executed. Many people often talk about playing a game with the ability to do matrix effects (bullet dodging) yet it took this long for a studio to finally develop a game that actually does that and use it as one of its core mechanic. The game seems to be heavily inspired by The Matrix Trilogy not only from the bullet dodging, but also with the hot switch/take over mechanic (Neo going into Agent Smith in the first movie, and Agent Smith taking over other people's body). The theme is also a sci-fi dystopia like, except the player takes the side of the machine instead.

There are over 30 levels in the game, but some are tutorials and some are story levels where there is no gameplay. Though the levels that do contain gameplay are incredibly engaging, espcially near the end. It is slightly disappointing that a deep philosophical theme was set up for the narrative but was mostly ignored and overshadowed by the game play. The campaign was also a bit short, with around only 3 hours.

The longevity of the game can be seen in its endless and challenge levels after completing the campaign, where one can spend endless hours in killing enemies over and over again.

The game makes great use of the Unity Engine’s Physic Time Scale to create the game play, though on occasions, the physics seem to be a bit out of place when throwing items around.

TLDR;

Pros:
-You can become Neo
-Stylized minialistic art
-Refreshing game play with originality
-Cutting bullets in half!!!
-Endless mode with additional hours of fun
-Unique story line, which also challenges the player in real life

Cons:
-Story was cut short and not well polished despite having a great introduction to it
-Seems a bit meh for $35 CDN

Overall:
If you have the bucks to spare, this is worth a grab for its originality, especially if you grew up watching The Matrix. If you don’t have extra cash laying around, then grab it on sale, and I will strongly recommend getting it during sales.

I am not a waifu person and I walked into this game with a bias that I am not likely going to have fun. Yet I was suprised that although the girls did not intrigued me in any particular way, it does not affect the gameplay negatively either. The game mechanics are executed smoothly and somewhat addictive, and as I sync in tune with the awesome music, I start getting into this pace where I keep looking for matches.

Overall suprising experience and changed my view on waifu games.
