"I JUST HAD A GORE-GASM" ~Mr. Torgue

Seriously one of the funnest online co-op games out there. A sequel to it's significantly older predecessor, Killing Floor 2 lives up to it's name as one of the goriest shooters out there with a huge emphasis on the ridiculous ways you can shoot / maul / blow up / slice / burn a man, all thanks to an advanced gore engine designed by the devs themselves, and it really shines when combined with Nvidia PhysX.

When it first came out, Killing Floor 2 was a good game, though it didn't have all the content the original had, or the
fun ridiculousness present in KF1, it tried hard to keep itself somewhat realistic in a sense and trying to focus on realism.

In a game where one of the enemies has spike grinders for hands, this clearly didn't last.

So they ditched that realism and they're slowly crawling back to the fun nonsensical ways of KF1, bringing back the Summer Sideshow and Twisted Christmas, talking Fleshpounds, as well as introducing a bunch of old classics and new guns such as The Spitfires (Flare Revolvers), The Husk Cannon, The Static Shockers, and The Hemogoblin, all of the sudden it's like KF1's disregard for bland realism with a fresh coat of paint.

The gameplays is fast, fun, and always has you on edge. Every game starts off smooth sailing and progressively gets more challenging and overwhelming to the point where you really have to keep a focus on what's going on around you. Even with that being said, the game is flexible in difficulty and very friendly to newcomers. New to the game and want a casual experience? Go Normal or Hard. Have experience and want a challenge, go Suicidal or Hell on Earth. Mind you that Suicidal / Hell on Earth is like BDSM in video game form and remains fun even if you're getting roughed up.

This game is worth every dollar, though you could get it on sale or full price, it's worth it either way. Good, gory fun, be it with friends or total strangers.

While Fallout 4 fails to live up to core Fallout standards, it isn't bad as it's own game and it's pretty fun to mod. Mods basically did all the work Bethesda couldn't with this game, ranging from bug fixes to making the game more direct towards Fallout 3 & New Vegas.

The Pros:
Fallout 4 is an outstanding upgrade in terms of graphics and some terms of voice acting. Characters look more human and it moves on from the dull singular pallette that's present in 3 and New Vegas. There's a more realistic feel to the environment and it directs more of the "50's retro future" theme nearly everywhere. The story isn't bad but could've had more directions, unlike Fallout 3 and New Vegas, your character's backstory is already defined, and there's really only four paths throughout the story you're able to take. The main 3 DLCs are also pretty fun, though the workshop expansions feel more like free content than paid content.

The Cons:
CREATION CLUB: This two gigabyte expansion is the bane of this game's existence. While mods have been a way of expressing creative freedom amongst games, Bethesda seems persistent to capitalize on them even after their last blunder with Steam Worshop. While Fallout 4 still has much to be patched by them, Creation Club is the true extent of them saying "fine, pay us five dollars if you're so damn smart." Putting bug fixes and content to potentially enhance the game the way it should've been behind paywalls, Creation Club is one of the worst business moves i've seen made by a video game company, second to none with Nintendo's cease and desist against a fan game. As much as it is a way to profit off of your content much like TF2's Steam Workshop, paid mods just dont work. Unlike items being accepted and profitted off of in games like CS:GO or TF2, mods are a loose cannon that could be a waste of money as they can potentially crash the game, opens a backend to uploading other people's content from sites like Nexus and allowing profits off of stolen content, and overall a really bad move. If you want my advice, just use Nexus.

The game's challenge threshold is also lowered as many rpg elements have been removed in exchange for shooter elements, and perks can just make you OP as hell now.

My conclusion:
A game beriddled with disappointment towards core Fallout fans only enhanced by it's community, the game itself isn't terrible, but way too straightforward compared to previous fallout games. My advice is get it on sale, dont use Creation Club, and use Nexus if you want mods. Show bethesda we dont want their paid patches, but legitimate delivered patches. At least Wolfenstein II looks fun, I loved The New Order...

Battleborn started as a fairly decent game that went downhill in it's months, with actual reasons behind it. I first played the open beta because it seemed cool, it was made by the same people who made Borderlands, so that got me hooked onto it. A lot of it's humor seems to be coming from Borderlands 2 other than the slightly worse Pre-Sequel, and much of the gameplay style seems fun and original, co-op slightly resembling Borderlands however, but all of Borderlands mechanics seemed to have been adapted and changed into Competitive Play.

Then Battleborn got ultimately thrashed by Overwatch, people made unecassary comparisons due to it's art style and class based mechanics. From playing both, they're both entirely different games, however, quality-wise, Overwatch seems to be a more well-developed 2016 game than Battleborn.

Competitive Play is a nightmare, with queues that take up half an hour, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ match-ups (Teamed with people who just started playing against people who know the game like theb ack of their hand), and the most common complaint, the player base that stooped beneath 1k, which i'll talk about later. There seems to be balance issues between characters as well.

Co-Op seems, sadly, the highlight of this game. Co-Op actually manages to be fun, but with a few game-breaking bugs in the way, more infamously, players and enemies getting stuck outside the map, and on another note, there are only a few co-op maps.

In it's recent months however, Gearbox seems to be doing such a ♥♥♥♥ job at promoting it and upkeeping it, the game fell apart. Gearbox is desperately trying to keep this game alive, despite it already being practically dead at below 1k people. A surprising two million people played the open beta, then bugs, microtransactions, and it's competitor, Overwatch killed it.

The game's dead and mangled guys, don't put $60 into this, or summer sale wise, $30.

One of my first and favorite games in the SEGA Dreamcast library. Sonic Adventure 2 was the second game to feature modern Sonic's style and persona.

Sonic Adventure 2 is less comical and a bit more gritty than the modern-day Sonic game, where Dr. Eggman for once isn't the true antagonist. Is that bad thing? No it isn't, in fact, I like it better when the storylines were like this. Shadow and Rouge were also introduced, as much as how Shadow is now represented with "haha i'm better than you" kind of feel, this game provided him with a backstory that now feels completely ignored. Not to mention when you unlock the Last Story, this game makes a dramatic turn, I knew when I unlocked it as a kid, I was in for something.

Sonic's reputation is plummeting, though I feel if SEGA were to look back at this game, they could make a recovery with good execution. This game's only issue for me is the bad camera angles, and the english dub dialogue always cuts other dialogue off in cutscenes. Other than that, this game eternally represents my childhood.

Wow. What a game. I'm at a loss for words, I have not felt "the feels" for a video game in such a long time. Allow me to explain why this game is a masterpiece.

Yeah, with how it looks, it looks like another one of those crappy "retro graphics" indie game, but there's so much more that balances it out.

The gameplay's fun, an RPG combined with Bullet Hell. The unique aspect of this is that you don't need to kill anyone. At all. Yet there's still a good amount of challenge. But now i'm gonna cut to the best part.

The Story and Characters, this couldn't be more executed by a lot of games i've seen. They're unique, you're hooked on it instantly, they just say "hi" and they already reel you in. The story and lore is well fabricated as well, having multiple branches to it.

And yeah, what they say is true, this is an emotional roller coaster.

Well done, Toby Fox and the rest. I respect you all.

Trove is an open world sandbox/MMO combo offering a unique adventure each playthrough. This game truly does offer a lot. My only complaint is the excruciating process to set it up, as it does run on a third party site that requires an account and a huge boot-up process.

Trove has one of the "minecraft" art styles much like Ace of Spades or Unturned, which is a common cliche i'm seeing nowadays, which is my only complaint for it's originality, other than that, it's originality is massive, having it's own storyline, items, characters, etc.

The community plays a big role in expanding Trove, with it's own "workshop" players are able to create their own items and submit them on a reddit thread, which isn't that common for games like this.

The most common complaint with Trove is that massive amounts of farming that's in the game, but I like working towards stuff so i'll let this pass.

I just find this game really fun, it's not an everyday game, and just so happens to be one of my favorites. Good job, Trion.

Loads of fun. I love the recreational games made by both the devs and community. It's really just a fun board/card/iPad simulator. I'd say it's worth a buy if you want to play board games with your friends.

Borderlands the Pre Sequel truly is a step-up from it's predecessors, introducing new gameplay mechanics, giving elaborate backstories to characters that seemed to be side characters in the sequel, first game, and Telltale game. (Except Wilhelm, who was only offered a lot of money and only a vault hunter for that sake.)

One of the things that stands out about this game is that the characters talk more often, offering more connection between them and the player. Though the great things that keeps it's name as "Borderlands" is the humor, immersive shoot n' loot, and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of pop culture references and easter eggs hidden in every inch of the game.

All in all, it's still Borderlands, but a huge step up in gameplay. It's too bad that 2k isn't really going to focus on this one, but I can expect Borderlands 3 to have a tremendous amount of content waiting to be unveiled to the public.
