Still broke as ♥♥♥♥. But it's still got that mix of love and hate from me that encouraged me to go back and play this trash fire of a port. The story's unique, ludicrous, and has just the right elements of love that a developer has for a product that I can't put to words. It seems genuine. And that's what draws me back to this thing.

Some tips:

DPFix makes the game look better. It's pretty great.
-Unconfirmed rumors however of DPFix causing more crashes so take this with a grain of salt.

If your game crashes and crashes consistently, restart your computer.

If your game crashes at a specific cutscene when you're leaving the hospital, restart your computer and set the game to windowed mode.

For compatibility settings, right click BOTH the executable and the launcher and set them to Windows XP service pack 3. You'll have issues with aiming up while doing this, but, you can swap it off once the crashes have stopped.

For the tailing mission, if you're running it on windowed mode, swap it to full screen for just that mission then save immediately after it finishes. I don't know what it is, but I think the windows size actually influences the driving.

Get all of the bones, but don't turn them into the guy who wants them immediately. Let them get stolen. Find the bones. Turn them in. Suggest getting all the bones within the first two days before going to the community center.
Complete the spirit maps when you can.
Do the block pushing puzzle/store room stuff. You'll thank me later. (Don't actually give the reward away.)
Bribe the gas station man. Do it as often as you can.

Fishing is annoying.

The animations, while funny, are still really good compared to other games that came out during the time. (I'm looking at you, Oblivion.)

tl;dr: I really love this game. It's a garbage fire port, and if you're persistent you'll be rewarded with one of the oddest yet most engrossing stories in a video game I've seen to date.

Good game with modding capabilities, entirely faithful to the pen and paper version of the game mechanics wise save for how flanking works, ranged sneak attacks with spells, and some of the stat blocks. Well written, save for a few typos here and there. The voice acting is top notch. The mechanics are addictive because of the difficulty and circumventing them through wise use of classes and buffs. The encumbrance system is a pain, but can be fixed with a mod. The Kingdom management stuff is fairly fascinating, and fits the game well, but you have to be very careful with it.

tl;dr : Break the system before the game breaks you.

It's a game. About a boy. Made of Meat. It's badass. Get it now. The Platforming is stupendous, and the music is fantastic. The controls are great, and it's addicting qualities make it worth the 15$. It's 4$ now. GET IT.
