I have been enjoying playing Apex with friends for years now having occasional moments of fun - However the core gameplay is still plagued with cheaters and technical issues that have been on-going for years with little-to-no resolve since. Meanwhile if the battle pass isn't necessary to enjoying the game - It certainly has had a psychological attraction of progress to keep you hooked into spending your continual playtime; now however with the further monetisation of it there is much less incentivisation to continue grinding or bothering with it completely. This is again further impacted by a diminishing player base partly due to the aforementioned core gameplay issues.

Therefore I no longer recommend Apex for new players on this basis.

Can confirm: This game can be played with one hand.

Developer acknowledgement of 'Allusions to Real-World Hate Groups', 'Character Sexualization & Agency', 'Racial Sensitivity' in certain artistic stylisation and depictions as no longer reflecting their current "values and our broad vision" for the future is of good intent and is perfectly valid. However performing retrospective censorship to legacy content is NOT OK - Human beings learn from past mistakes and improve on them for the future.

Adding an acknowledgement such as “outdated cultural depictions” would have sufficed to achieve a showing of an updated self awareness by the newer developer team in relation to this message instead.

Edit further to add: While I'm not a huge fighting-games player, it is also for this very same reason that I feel like these recent changes made by the new developer team, have irrevocably tarnished my interests in playing this game further by damaging it's original identity from as it was ten years ago.

This mod is a gem!! - Yes it's a little janky here and there and the mouse controls weirdly? The pistol model is damn cool though and it's got a rocking soundtrack!; Even if slightly misplaced and a bit loud, but it's a *FREE* enthusiast mod that is really short and sweet! So yeah, I'll say it's worth your ~45 mins or so to check it out and give it ago!! ... Oh and screw all the negative haters; I would like to see them make a mod better than this.

This definitely sucks.. 😉
