I create a colony with the objective of helping everyone i can, and what happens?

A group of 5 children walk up to my colony asking for silver to buy back their friends. On their way in one of the 5 children step on a SPIKE TRAP causing the rest to go FERAL and attempt to kill my thrumbo. I cant bring myself to write how this ended.

i just cant anymore. i have tried and failed level 10 so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time. i make it to the last two spikes and die. out of my 2.5 hours i have spent two of them at level 10! after playing this, my livelyhood started to shatter around me and after only two hours i started thinking about suicide. please send help
