This pleasantly surprised me despite not being all that picky about HOGs! Like utterly pleased. I could tell the developers really loved the game they were making.

PROS:
> Really really lovely and detailed visual backgrounds! The way the late afternoon sun hits the walls and by god, the greenhouse area and veranda were so lovely. I loved the bathroom with the serpent theme as well. And...in a dark way, the way the ermm, 'artworks' are positioned. I loved the look of most puzzles too!

> More-than-decent 3D models!---To be honest after playing a HOG where the characters have monkey-qualities (really odd long arms and mouths lower from the nose), the models in this game were pleasing and not at all distracting from the immersion. And they move smoothly too!

>Never before seen puzzles! Something new! Always nice to see different ways to make a puzzle!

Bonus: +1 For the optional grainy effect!!! Super cute!

Good job, art department! Overall 10/10.

CONS:
> I have to agree with some negative feedback---There needs to be fast teleport, it was a fairly big house with different scenes!

> And seconding that it was hard to differentiate places that have unsolved puzzles and places you can use the objects in your current inventory.

> Windowed mode compatible!
> Nice handy navigation viewer! (Bless you!!!! No need to click madly in all the places to see if you missed anything!)
> Fun puzzles!

CONS:
> The lack of dialogue/text descriptions/opinions when you click on things makes it hard to determine where to go or what to do next (normally you don't need to rely on using the hint button so much but I'm just glad using hint goes unpunished)
> No journal/diary to recap the story in case you lose track of dialogue :(

All in all, it's pretty entertaining if you've got a few hours to kill and you can't sit still when watching a movie. :D

This game has been fun!

Pros:
+ For its price, you get hours of HOPA goodness!
+ When you get to the bonus bits, you can tell the developers put a lot of love and thought into the game, its world, and its characters. Totally worth!
+ Some of the puzzles are really pretty! And challenging!
+ Gotta love collecting notes and pages!
+ Built in walkthrough to make sure you didn't miss anything!

Cons:
- Weakest puzzle is probably the hidden object portions, lots of random objects strewn about. They don't make a lot of sense if only to fill the screen and it ends up making it look like you're digging for items a la dumpster diving from time to time. It's really unattractive haha.
- Not a lot of interaction with its characters but I understand in terms of hiring voice acting!
- Music when solving puzzles occasionally drove me nuts, not exactly the music you want to hear longer than a minute or two. Which I get acts are extra incentive to solve puzzles quickly LMAO!

I have to say that I was honestly pleasantly surprised by this little gem. The story and characters were very well-written especially as far as indie developments go in the Point and Click department. I cannot wait for Act Two, I'm really so happy with this one. I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. I hope to see more games from Brainchild!

The main character Sydney was lovely to play as, and the other characters had their own charms with vivid dialogue. I'm so glad to read a conversation that does sound like real people talking. All in all entertaining!

It's a cute little game. I had fun and was surprised at how pretty and clever some of the puzzle designs were. Kudos to the developers, I love it. I'd recommend this to parents and people with younger siblings.

I love it. It's kind of cheesy but I'm a sucker for any murder mystery. I love the background art so much, it's pretty despite the janky character animations and weak voice acting.

It's a fun little game that doesn't seem to take itself too seriously. You have a choice to leave the doors to the bird cages open, which I found really funny since the main character comments about it.
For its price, it's pretty worth it.

If you like solving mysteries without being spoonfed, I'd rec this "game". If you're looking for something with more game mechanics, I'm afraid you'd be rather unamused. It's a very fresh concept, I look forward to seeing more FMVs in the future.

Very short but for the price, I'd say it was worth it solely for the overall design and gameplay. Takes me back.
