Dave The Diver is a really cute game that's relaxing, but has its moments of action packed. A simple gameplay that throws content at you for the best things ever. The funny story telling and sound effects are what give the game the charming nature to it.

I'll be honest, this game is hit or miss. For anyone, Harvest Moon fan or not.

This is a different approach to any of the other Harvest Moon franchise and I'm not really that keen on it. Usually, used to meeting the mayor or someone who was a friend of your grandfather. Instead, you just wash ashore and found by a random villager who just helps you and shows you an unused farm.

Having to pay out of your own pocket to restore the village is a new one for me, and to which it's a pain. The beginning is painfully slow due to this. Restoring places, and if you restore the wrong building its another day or more before you can progress on with the storyline. When you finally can progress it just feels like things move fast, so I've been kind of prolonging advancing the storyline and just kind of focusing on befriending the villagers I guess.

Talking about the villigers, the good thing about Light of Hope is it seems faster on raising their friendship level. I guess having the requests really does help progress their levels.

Having no calender in this game sucks so much, holy heaps. I mean, I can't be the only one who really relied on the calender that was provided to keep tabs on birthdays and especially keep tabs on whatever festivals were going to be happening, right? This is kind of the biggest thing that I am annoyed with in the game. I need the calender for the love of that there is.

The mining in this game is pretty ridicluous. The income on the gems just breaks the game for you there. I feel cheated on how easy I was able to almost find all the gems and material from the first day I got the hammer. Forget buying the seeds just go all mining. Like the other Harvest Moon games, different floors of the mining gave you specific ores. Nope! Not in Light of Hope. Just find Jade on level 2 out of 100. Refine the ore and sell it for 2,000 gil. Broken.

I don't really know what else to say. I'm only about 13 hours in the game and I'm just slowly prolonging from advancing for awhile. Let's not forget though that Yasuhiro Wada did not help with the making of the game since he left in 2010, so it's most likely why the game has an off vibe to it. I'll probably give an update after I possibly played more of the game.

I wish I could give this a kind of reccommendation instead of the full yes or no.

When seeing the trailer for the first episode I was pretty hyped. Right off the bat the artwork totally brought me back to Walt Disney's Steamboat Willy. The entire game pretty much has that vibe with the sepia colour. The three characters of the studio - Bendy, Alice, and Borris pretty much resemble as Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Betty Boop lets face it in their cartoon form - minus Borris.

The music fits the appropriate time period this takes place in. Jazzy upbeats and the old time record players is what I call for. The voice actors fill the roles perfectly, making you feel the shiver with Alice laughing like she's lost her mind or when her voice is timid and sweet. They make those feelings happen.

Bendy and the ink machine is the horror, but not that type of scary horror. Mainly jumpscares if you aren't aware of whats to happen. The music for ink bendy definitely gets my hair to rise and the goosebumps to appear. It makes you anticipate what is to happen next.

Some cons I can say is that the last I played the game Henry didn't feel like he ran as sluggish as he did when I was playing currently. Not to mention Ink Bendy just kept respawning without an end! And I don't know if it's a bug or not, but when I was hiding from Ink Bendy there was an ink blob outside the hiding spot and alerted Bendy without the blob seeing me. So I ended up dying which made me irked but it is what it is. The monsters seem to give a wallop now from when I last played, but its to be expected I guess for updates? But I feel like it shouldn't feel like they can one hit ko you.

Aside from the cons I mentioned, the game is very well done and I can't wait to play the last two episodes and see what else opens up with chapters 1-3.

This game was my go to, if my moods were terrible or not. I remember my younger brother bought the game for me and surprised me with it. Playing that game was pretty much entering another relam for myself. The soundtrack is as fantastic as my memory serves, as well the gameplay, characters, art, storyline, and of course the most frustrating parts. Either way, the most frustrating parts are always the plays that pull me through to continue playing because I can't put it down or just stop at all. It keeps reeling you back into it because once you tell yourself you will stop playing you end up finding yourself playing for another 10 hours.

Being directed of course by Hideki Kamiya you couldn't expect anything less considering the man had a helping hand with Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Bayonetta, etc. So, of course I knew it had to be good granted I wasn't expecting to really fall head over heels in love with this game on the PS2 as much as I did - and still do.

This game is absolutely breathtaking and by means my favourite game ever.

The Japanese folklore of the game is one that I'm forever in love with because the artstyle keeps true to the entire game theme. As well as the music at the end of battles, when you have defeated a boss, the different cities, etc. Having the scrolls with the different enemies/bosses you have batttled is another piece I enjoyed. The amount of detail this entire game has shows how much patience and time was put into it.

I really don't know what else to say about this game besides my love for it. Naturally people won't have a liking to Issun because yes he is an annoying bouncing bug, but if you think about it I would chose him over Navi anytime. He has a character development while Navi just stayed the same annoying "Hey listen!" fairy. The bond he has with Ammy is one where you have those friends that are like a bug, but you know you can't get rid of them because that friendship.

By far istead of 10/10 giving this an infinity out of inifinity.

Let's be real, this game is like another Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing type of game. Don't get me wrong, I am a HUGE sucker for those games. Can play them all day every day without getting bored. The click based system is one that isn't a stranger to us all. We've all dealt with a game that had to deal with sitting and feel like you are bored to death, but in reality it starts to become a relaxing time.

You aren't feeling rushed, and you can go at your own pace on evolving the storyline or not. Seriously, if you wanted you could probably just stay on the first chapter to get all the achievements in the game - well some of the achievements. The color palette that's used for this game aren't overbearing on your eyes, they are bright, but also toned down to the pastel kind of deal that still catch your attention, without making you wanna gouge your eyeballs out. The artstyle is simply well done to the point of having the different gradiant variations down to the T. I am a sucker for that too. Theshadingtoo!

There is enough tasks for you to do that will keep your attention, but as well you get so lost in going at your own pace you end up forgetting what task you were on anyways. The music is quiet enough that it becomes background noise, but enough that if you tune in hard enough you can hear it and just resets you back into a zen like state. The different characters that you come across all have something that you can relate to, and make your emotions swell just a bit with each time they come around again.

Gameplay is pretty straight forward and when something new comes along its really easy to understand. Not to mention this game deals with harvesting organs, like what game can you play that actually involves this stuff. None that I can think of. Again, as much as the game is repetivie you just start getting addicted to it - just like with the Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing franchise. Where you tell yourself you will stop playing and before you know it, another five (5) hours have gone by. It starts becoming addictive without you fully realise it till the hours go by.

I've just recently finished going on my first playthrough and I'm about to do another round when I get the time to do so. The game is highly addictive despite the repeating nature. The different storylines keep you on your toes, as well with all the seperate tasks and achievements at hand. You will have enough to keep you occupied for a long time now.

10/10

So, upon seeing that the game was composed in three seperate parts they made it seem like it was going to be played within three different point of views. In truth, it isn't a lie but it isn't truth either. I'm just a dumbass that can't read well, and well it gave me a nice little surprise that I enjoyed once it dawned on me. Its all the same people just different scenarios and all of which were all filled with action packed and cute little scenes that came to life.

Efi is really cute liedragon, and don't let her loli apperance really fool you. In the point of view that she's still like a one year old who can talk already Efi still learning who she is and her life, but as well learning about the world around her and why she was wished upon. All the sprites and artwork are well done in that pixel-like art. I'm a sucker for pixels, and if it's game form? Dang, sign me the eff up. The guy she is companions with is hard around the edges, but he means well and it all makes sense to why he is the way he is.

All the storylines connect and have enough that if you miss an achievement it's fairly easy to go back and do a redo - unless you saved then you won't have an issue, but its still an easy way to get back to where you need to get back to for the achievements. Speaking of the achievements, they are all easy to gain too, through the first playthrough or going back again before moving on to the next chapter. All simple and easy to understand if you are one of those achievement people that check everything nook and cranny in a game.

Just like Alicemere, this game is in the same play style and simply easy to fall in love with. Speaking of which, if you haven't played Alicemere do go check it out. The pixel's are adorable and just everything about that game I fell in love with, it was actually there that I discovered this game.

I was not expecting to really enjoy this game as much as I did. The spirtes and artwork for the game are well done and the gameplay just keeps you interested with the different endings and how you interact with everything.
