Spec Ops: The LIne is a truly thought-provoking journey. This is not so apparent at the start of the game but once you hit the mid-way point, the story gets really interesting. The voice acting is superb and I can honestly say I grew to like the characters (despite the circumstances), which made the ending really heartbreaking. Graphics-wise, the game looks great. Gameplay mechanics are also good although I found some aspects of it a bit clunky (such as melee and vaulting being bound by default to the same button). In my opinion, the pacing was great and there was enough variety to the chapters/scenarios so the game did not drag or feel repetitive. As a third person shooter, the game is pretty enjoyable. However, what elevates Spec Ops: The Line to greater heights is its narrative. It is one of those rare games that left me emotionally aroused at the end, not to mention dumbfounded - in a good way, of course :) I was pleasantly surprised and was not disappointed whatsoever in Spec Ops: The LIne. Highly recommended especially if you appreciate an intellectually (and emotionally) stimulating experience.
