Since the game is free I recommend trying it out. I did find the user interface a bit confusing to navigate (for upgrading my ship and base) and after a while I did find the game play loop a little bit boring, maybe the game just isn't for me, but I will keep an eye on its development and see how it progresses.

Needs to sort of the XP gains and weekly challenges. In games I have team mates that are going out of their way to complete a weekly challenge instead of playing to the objective.
