The overwhelmingly positive reviews are well deserved. The game has tight combat, gratifying levelling systems, and will not shy away from breaking you into pieces.

I lost 44k souls to a couple of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ snakes.
It's Dark Souls alright.

I applaud you guys and your efforts. Still clearly an early access title but you have successfully turned a meme game into a horror game.

Although workshop support and ranks have returned, there's no denying you should've been there in its prime. The experience of logging into servers on community maps full of fresh faces and grizzled veterans, gathering around an ongoing duel and challenging the winner, practising against people on your level and adding them to your friends list later on, or getting folded by a Master rank while they offer you tips and strategies to help beat them has created a vibe I haven't been able to experience again.

The gameplay feels unique. Even if you're getting curb stomped, you can feel yourself improving. You'll see their health bar dwindle lower and lower as you proceed match after match until finally... you take a single round off them, and the endorphin release distracts you and undoes all your hard work in the final round. Yet, you go right back into the next game knowing you can do it again and finish the job.

Please play this game. New faces are joining every day, and I want to see the servers revived with you being there for it.

I've never been more stressed out by a video game before. It's such an emotional roller coaster and I don't want to get off.
