Honestly, I beat this game in fifty-five hours one-hundred percent. It is not only worth a sequel, but is what I would consider a souls-like of a platformer (if you are going for one-hundred percent it at least)

Greedy company that turned the average surprise update into a surprise up-sell. $70 in DLC is absurd for a game that started as an Indie project.

Nostalgia baiting garbage that tries to piggyback off of a legendary game only to be mediocre. Not worth $40

Live another life for a day, it's a really short, yet absolutely stellar experience. Highly recommended.

A game that costs $40 that is often given out for free, or for far lower than this absurd price-point.

I got my copy for $16 and honestly with how much time-gating and cap-locks there are in this game, I believe that it should be considered and given out as a free game.

Don't buy it, seriously. I have met some really cool people on here, but the amount of crap you have to go through to be even remotely successful is a load of horse crap.

This game is extremely pay to win, not only with the fallout-1st subscription that gives features they promised us were impossible to give early when the game launched, but similarly with atom shop items that give advantages.

There's also a lot of time-locked events, a limit to not only how many caps you can earn through selling in one day, but overall how many you can hold, it is ridiculous.

This game is a repetitive chore and fetch quest simulator that only lasts three hours if you're not doing everything and isn't even remotely worth $25. The ending is unsatisfying and doesn't explain anything and makes you feel like crap for even 100%ing the game.

This experience doesn't at all compare to A Hat In Time.

Man.. It's really hard to write this review.

To preface this, I have been a player of Team Fortress 2 for a pretty good amount of time now, I've played as a simple trader trying to get his first unusual, an annoying TF2ber who recorded kids screaming at him for kicks and would tell stories to a mass of people willing to listen, a critz server overlord who had made many friends, and a collector of anything I ever wanted.

I've gotten 1:1 unusual, sniper rifles worth thousands of dollars and once had a raving YouTube career out of this game and many friends gained and lost from it. I still have plenty in my inventory to show I once did way greater things and a massive trade history to back it up.

None of this is a flex, the point I'm trying to make is I've been all over TF2, It's competitive scene to it's community servers, i960's Mario Kart to the MLP servers I cringe at now, but back then, it was life to me.

Valve hasn't done anything with this game of note in the last decade.

ii you look at most updates, they have been slowly drip-feeding garbage micro-transaction content, skins, crates, whatever they can to try and bolster a trading scene that got far too automated for it's own good.

They very rarely actually fix anything worth fixing (Even if a leak from the source code of the game caused a community to band together and patch most things wrong with the game currently) rarely add anything to this game and overall have put it on life support even though they have a community of honest people who has been supporting it for years now.

From TF2bers to mod makers, community members all together have shown their support for this game over the past fifteen years and have gotten very little thanks in reward.

So, to all of you who have played this game, loved it the same way I did, made friends and lost friends overtime, thank you.

To anyone who wants to play this game, try it, there's plenty to be met here. But don't expect a game with a trading economy you can get into without dumping real world money in first, or to make friends the same way I did back then, people have grown far too close-knit into their own little circles now for that.

It's with a heavy heart I don't recommend this game. Not to just go against the grain of people who have repeatedly over the years tried to get Valve's attention which has always fell on deaf ears, but to try and bring the entire community back together again, even if it means this is the end of TF2 as we once knew it.

To those of you who are upset, Valve isn't the same company it was when it made TF2. They used to care about the quality and craftsmanship of their games, to strive to push their ideas out there, no matter the cost. Nowadays, given that they are the mastermind of this platform, all transactions micro or game purchases, they have absolutely lost focus on what it once meant to be to give your all to a game without care for following the grain of trends or eating the cost of development to make something spectacular.

They are as washed up and as on safe-mode as most modern AAA forms of entertainment have come to be, and while that is just how the times are now, it is still sad nonetheless.

This is the only review I'll ever have the comments on for, I am very interested to hear what genuine TF2 players have to say. So, if you comment anything like "Too long didn't read" I'll probably just ignore you. I have almost if not over 5,000 hours between two accounts, I am more than credible in my assessment of this game.

TL;DR: Ex TF2ber reminiscences about the past, and recommends a game that both gave him everything, and took it away.
