It's not okay. What sparked my want to update my review is the recent community backlash against Gaijin where they planned to screw the in-game economy even further (I know, it's been cancelled). However, I won't be covering this part of the story in my review.

I first began playing this game on my *not so good* laptop all the way back in 2014. Playing the game was truly enjoyable, perhaps due to me being a clueless new player or simply because the game provided more entertainment in the past compared to the present. I love all historical and military genre games.

However, my enthusiasm waned due to a recurring issue that countless other players have also addressed: the grind. This problem has been widely acknowledged, yet Gaijin seems reluctant to take meaningful action. It appears to be primarily driven by financial motivations, as they offer a premium membership that doubles currency and research gains at a steep price. I decided to invest in a one-year membership during a significant sale, and playing with premium felt closer to the intended experience of the game, without spending additional money (free to play).
I would dedicate countless weeks to arduous grinding in order to unlock a single vehicle, only to find myself caught in an endless cycle as the process repeated with the next one.

Thank you, Gaijin, for all the wonderful and fun times I've had playing your game, however, I won't be playing or returning to this game until these issues have been addressed. It is disheartening to witness how the game, marketed as "free to play," has transformed into a "pay to enjoy" experience.

To the community, I urge you to voice your opinions if you share similar sentiments. Dealing with companies whose primary focus is financial requires us to refrain from providing financial support. Nowadays, more and more games are veering toward microtransactions, subscription plans, and similar practices, testing our response. If we remain silent, these changes become the new norm. It is crucial that we continue speaking up about the issues we despise. The recent community outcry against Gaijin's economy changes was a testament to our collective impact, leading to their retreat. However, this battle is not over. Let us continue to raise our voices against all other issues we are discontent with.
