This game has been slowly losing its identity on the inevitable march towards consolification and broader appeal. This latest update has some cool features that are utterly overshadowed by the heinous console UI. They previewed this mess months ago, were told by the entire community that it was not a good fit, and proceeded to make surprised pikachu face when it goes live and nobody likes it. They've also nerfed traps and concertina into the ground, two things that added a ton of strategy and identity to this game beyond just another shooter.

Some cool ideas let down by a heaping helping of amateur design choices. World design is good, and feels fun to explore. Looting mechanics are slick and give you the happy brain chemicals everyone wants.
Movement has the potential to be good, but ends up feeling frustrating often as it's impossible to tell what things you're allowed to vault onto and what you're not. Getting stuck in the terrain and glitched up or down is a very common occurrence.
PvP is really bad. If you have higher tier gear than the opponent, your fight will be easy. If you have lower, you will get dunked on by someone you can't see with a bolt-action.
By far the biggest issue with this game is the spawn system. They looked at Tarkov's problems with late spawns and thought "hey, let's do that but even more extreme". You and others will spawn in randomly and in any location. It's entirely possible, and even likely, that you'll get the great experience of coming out of your little pod to be instantly demolished by someone that was already on the map. Why they thought this was a good idea is completely beyond me.
Other than that I was left with an overall sense of overdesign with no soul. The hubworld feels like they smashed together everything from more popular games they could lay hands on rather than creating fresh. There's also a sense of mobile-game-ness in the flashiness of leveling up and the noises, lots of bright colors. It all feels a bit forced. Maybe they'll get it sorted with some more time, but for now it's not enjoyable.
