It takes a while for Kiryu to become fun to play here, which is pretty jarring after around 2 straight games of Kiryu being The Dragon of Dojima straight off the bat. Also, the final shirtless showdown in this one is pretty meh, so adjust your expectations accordingly.
In any case though, if you're already at the sixth entry of this series, this shouldn't stop you from picking it up. It is the "finale" of the Kiryu saga, after all.
Side note: the side content's really fun in this one.

This is a great, big, huuuge game. In length and in variety (you will be playing a beat 'em up, rhythm game, hunting sim etc...). The game's length is a double-edged sword though, since it likes to prolong it's boring parts as much as it likes to prolong it's good parts. That definitely doesn't make it bad - it's an incredible game and a great Yakuza entry. It's just a bit dull at times.

It's a gem in the ruff. Sorry, rough. You really have to bear it a bit before the game opens up to you. Remember to alternate between grabbing and hitting enemies. Oh, and get the Tiger Drop as fast as you can in chapter 5, since you do ♥♥♥♥ all damage otherwise. Don't skip it though, play it on easy if you have to. This game has some amazing moments that make it so very worth your time.

the best fighting game with active matchmaking atm
the netcode's awesome, the music's awesome and they killed it with the new characters
though playing around the drive system is a bit annoying at times, it's still a part of getting good at the game
the DLC pricing sucks, but the game does get pretty cheap during sales and the starting roster is really great
+ it runs on the straight up miraculous RE engine (which apparently can also run fighting games), so the game works extremely well
