Who would've thought a lego game would have a fun and engaging RTS mode?
Great missions, good story and a ton of characters.
You got your iconic split screen mulitplayer that merges into one.
Combat is nice but it's lego. It's nothing like Skywalker Saga.

I honestly would recommend this over Skywalker saga if you want a true lego story with some new inventive gameplay.

This game is probably worth $20, no WAY $45.
Ridiculous. Do not buy this game until it's on sale.

This isn't a 1.0. this is a new alpha labeled as 1.0, there's barely any promised features.
They rework the game every 2-3 years for some reason then put *way* too much effort into the Twitch Integration. It's really not fun for Twitch Integration either, as all the fun options are pay to use, you can't watch a stream to get them.

They removed water gathering in a survival game. They added a magazine system I didn't mind at first until I didn't have a workbench until post first horde night. What a joke that I can't do any big progress because you nerf and nerf everything so the only fun method to play is what they intend.

This game has enjoyment for sure, but with the lack of direction the devs seem to push it's rather frustrating that a new alpha added... *Checks notes* rebalancing things for the 9th time, and traps to buildings. Did I forget to mention somehow dew collectors attract zombies??
I will play it but if I knew how little it offers past a certain point for the price I got it at, I wouldn't have paid for it.
Only buy on sale, buy project zomboid if you want more content.

I am forever disappointed this doesn't teach why Barney owed Gordan that beer.

Too short, too similar to the main game, nothing interesting.

It's an alright story, good parkour and decent graphics.
I wrote this review specifically to say this doesn't cooperate with laptops. Me and several other friends who use gaming laptops cannot get this game to function at anything above 30fps at BEST consistently. Early on, when you're being taught about traps there's this car near the tower that drops frames by around 50%. Game is horrible unoptimized.

Do NOT buy this game if you have a laptop.

I normally do not write reviews anymore, but this game is a special case. It's a spectacular mod, and free for that. I'm not super well versed in HL2 modding, but this game has such phenomenal design. The lighting, the environments are stunning.
This mod offers a lot, especially for free. The gunplay is so satisfactory and a replay of HL2 I tried doing the same stuff I was doing in this, I prefer this.
All weapons really have a purpose, I don't see a single weapon being bad. I can however say the shotgun is a personal favorite.

Enemy design. The enemies are cool, and the return of HL1 enemies is a big plus.
Story: Wasn't intrigued until about halfway. When you get the choice, totally bring *him* with you.

Overall, this mod goes into the 10/10 territory. It's good in so many ways.

The story campaigns are good, minus the human campaign.
Had a lot of fun as the Alien especially, but fair warning: You MAY get motion sickness with the amount of motion blur. Gives me a headache to replay.

Honestly felt incomplete with the amount of jank in the game. The lights suck, especially the flashlight. Repeated playthroughs of this game aren't fun as there is no randomization to locations so you know what's in them 100% of the time, thus making it a rush to grab modern axe, katana, keycard, and modern bow. There's no point in any exploration if you know the game already.

Genuinely feels abandoned by it's creators the second it got to 1.0 state, with minor fixes since then but the fact of the amount of glitches I've ran into in especially the barely tacked on MP is horrendous.
If you die in MP more than once, you will start in the plane with little HP, little to no stamina and nothing. You then need to get back to your gear with those stats or avoid running into cannibals. It's really tedious and overly punishing of a system.

I wanted to like this game, but in the middle of me playing it my computer died and it took me a month to get it fixed. When I came back to this game, all MP services were off, locking me out of a lot of features and most of the fun of this game. The remaster is horrible and this game was an overall just disappointment.

It has an "ok" story for a shooter, but nothing interesting or good about it.
The MP is fun however the fact of how strict servers can be and the EXTREME unwelcoming of new players to the game drives anyone off, including me.

When you're getting spawncamped or every point is being camped by a vehicle in the corner of the map or your spawn point is getting jet rammed and no consequences are given unless you attempt the same shows how frustrating the community can be.

Game is fun. However the negatives far outweigh the positives.

Negatives include:
-Laggy Netcode, making PVP and PVE with friends nearly unplayable
-Horrible performance where I have a 3060 and get GPU stutters. I can play much more graphically intensive games no issue.
-The DLC locking really powerful moves behind a paywall. Moves/supersouls that change how good your character is
-The horrendously stupid AI who will spam ultimates and nothing else
-The fact that the game costs $50 still so many years later, along with the DLC culminating in over DOUBLE the price of the game and all you get is a few characters.
-The game is full of hackers, exploiters and cheaters.
-The Experts missions basically being unfair and unwinnable unless you have 6 people interested in doing them. They're just so RIDICULOUSLY hard where they can 3 shot you with their raid boss moves
-The game having an artificially increased lifetime due to the EXTREME grind to get some items unlocked.
-And of course, the empty hub world where there's a lot to see but none of it is interesting at all.

IF you're a Draon Ball fan, get it I suppose. you'll have fun with it for a while but it's not a good game for someone wanting a competitive fighting experience.
