Night in The Woods was in my library for a long while, but after Alec Holowka's suicide, I felt obligated to play it in memory. It's a game like something I don't ever play but I enjoyed it all the way through. It was such a cutesy game and was a fun time. I cried when I realized because of Alec being gone, we wouldn't get a second one.

Honestly, you've heard of this game. If you haven't played it you're REALLY missing out. I bought this on disk several years ago and I still use my disk version. Has a better plotline than the entire new trilogy in total. Literally if you're looking to buy this game, buy it!

It's like Doom, but you have a super shotgun, which is better than a double barrel shotgun just because it has a better name.

It's the OG fps shooter, why not play it?
With the new bethesda additions, this game can be run by itself and runs beautifully. The work ID and Bethesda have done to make this game work is stellar.
I'd recommend GZDoom for optimization, and all sorts of other stuff.
And ModDB has lots of more stuff along with DoomWorld.

Petroglyph was a good studio, even if they're owned by EA, they reactivated multiplayer in this old ass game for everyone to enjoy.

This game is very much alive due to it's modding community.
Base game, has a lot of fun mechanics, but gee golly is the Consortium OP.
I enjoy the concepts they have but if you're going to play this mod I would recommend playing it with mods:

[FOC] Infinite Unit Cap- Removes that annoying unit cap so you can all out wars

Republic At War- A TC that turns the game into Republic era with new features, lots of new units and some upgraded graphics. (Try Fall of the Republic instead)

Thrawn's Revenge: An excellent mix of both ground and space combat. One of my favorites for the craziness of conquest!

EAW Remake mod: Was promising in my eyes, but got boring fast with the new ground combat overhaul. Try it and see for yourself, you might like it more.

AOTR: Really fun, but I'm also really stupid so I lose a lot

Don't make an Empire At War 2 please

When I was younger, before I had steam and found out other great RTSes out there, I thought this was the best thing ever. I probably have over 1000 hours on the disk version of this.
Sure, It's an Age Of Empires 2 "clone", but it still makes it feel star warsy. I enjoyed all the campaigns, and felt like a great achievement to break through barriers or take an objective. This game has aged alright, the graphics aren't a big deal as it's the gameplay that grabbed me.
Before I found Empire At War, I loved this game to death, I 100% recommend if you want to just waste an hour or two taking out some enemies on a giant map versus.

The optimal way of playing this game is now using Expanding Fronts if you want to have a lot of fun!
