Hurts to play

The things that make this game would take multiple pages to elaborate on, long story short it is a 4x game that takes inspiration from the greats and removes as many pain points as possible. The AI is a bit weak, but other than that its greatest weakness is that there's not more of it. Absolutely wonderful game.

While not as good as the original, and marred with some technical issues, this game is a solid attempt at remaking a piece of gaming history. However, it also seems far more adjusted for children, and I find it's less of "a family game" than a "children's game". This is fine, but worth keeping in mind. There's still a lot of charm, and a lot worth seeing, but if you have the original game I'd rather look at that. Not just for nostalgia, but because it simply feels more impressive to see an animation play out when you know the work that went into it compared to today.

A weak recommendation, this is all provided you get the extra minigames as well. Otherwise it is a very meagre experience. All that said I love all the iconic vehicles in Bygderally, milk truck represent!

With this the game is worth playing.

The combat is still more complex than it is deep, and marred with several issues where it lacks meaningful tactical choice. The economy is still a joke and there is not a shop in the lands that can accept the kind of loot Henry unloads. The game still expects you to carry way more than your carry capacity allows. All that said this is by far the superior game. There's more to explore, more to find, more to do, more quests, more characters, more jokes, more secrets, more more more. The writing has also made a noticeable leap, where characters who were largely two-dimensional now have a range of emotions and aspirations that make them engaging beyond just the surface impression.

It's not perfect, but it is pretty damn great.

Whatever weaknesses it has are made up for in the quality of its strengths. Very much worth playing.

This game is 11 years old and still aint out of early access. Get out of here Dayz! GET OUT!

For the pricepoint of 7 euro this is decent fun. It's not long and this is something that could have benefited from padding it with more variations on the same level idea. The lack of meaningful secrets also feels a bit like the maps were made without a clear idea of what they were meant to be used for. If it was more expensive I'd be upset but I feel you get what you pay for.

I am somewhat bothered that you can't carry over the gunpowder to the main game, because it is a lot of fun and I'd have liked to see how many maps it would change. A weak thumbs up from me.

After having played 1000 hours of CS2. I can with an expert's opinion say that it is bad. You can trust me, I put 1000 hours into CS2 here today. October 2023.
