Despite my account age I've followed this game since around 2012 and it's definitely in the best state it's ever been in. Momentary setbacks like balance problems, Master Mode, or neglected sections of the world have all (for the most part) been addressed while devs continue to introduce new types of gameplay through seeds and whatnot.

I'm still salty about the way progression was straightened out all in one go for 1.4 back in 2020, but it isn't that big of an issue all things considered--Terraria is still definitely Terraria. Buy this game for yourself and then buy it for your friends so that you can all get thousands of hours and never play the game together
