One of the rare sequels that surpasses the original in every way.

Great introductory roguelike as well. Definitely pick up the DLC as well, one of the better designed characters and tons of additional items, enemies, and levels are added.

EDIT: Game is dead, sold to gearbox. Sad day. While it is fun, with nothing new for it I can no longer recommend it to new players.

Ok, guess we won't be getting more well-crafted 40k games again for awhile. Sigh.

UPDATE: Immortal Empires released along with the first DLC, Champions of Chaos. Both are incredible. It took a race I barely played (Warriors of Chaos) and has turned them into nearly my favorite race in the game. And Immortal Empires is already incredible in it's "beta" state. Turns are fast, the map is gorgeous and so much larger than Mortal Empires. This truly is the ultimate Warhammer, and Total War, experience.


It's a great start to the end of the trilogy. Solid story-based campaign whilst we wait for the huge sandbox.

Negative reviews are from reeee-ing children about how the game with 5 years of DLC and support is bigger and more polished the 2 month old game. They're throwing a tantrum, if you liked games 1 and 2, this is more of the same with a lot of refinements (particularly for coop campaign players!). If you aren't interested in any of the races in the base game, then yes, you are better off waiting for the merging of game 2 content.

Otherwise, Chaos, Kislev, Cathay, and Ogres are all pretty distinct and a lot of fun!

Great game but it gets a thumbs down due to yet *another* fumbled launch.

Seriously, you're Amazon. This is unacceptable.

The game itself, particularly the visuals and combat, are brilliant. The classes all feel satisfying and flashy, even the "support". I'm not a big MMO fan but I did enjoy Tera and this is the first MMO to come along since that feels just as satisfying and good in the combat.

I was incredibly doubtful the meat of this game would be any good after the beta and the news of specialists (just monetized Apex characters in a BF game that lack any character worth mentioning) but purchased because of Portal.

Portal is decent, it's fun. It wasn't worth the price of admission though. The rest of the game is so blatantly downgraded from BF5 engine wise (detailed destruction, soldier animations, being able to "roll over" while prone, crouch while running) and the "enhancements" are ripped straight out of the MW remake in 2019 without stopping to think how to make those mechanics work in a BF game.

And the Portal content, while it's good, is super limited and unless they expand it in the future (doubtful unless it's monetized somehow) it won't last you very long.

Took a cancel culture attempt to get me to review this but, yes Factorio is incredible. You should buy it.

You should especially buy it when the developer was ambushed by a cancel mob during an innocent blog post about programming and because he refused to bend the knee. More backbone to the cancel mob is needed. I don't really care what side of the political spectrum it's about anymore, cancel mentality is the real cancer.

Lol at the salty comments about "Skaven getting the best content". Yeah, let's just ignore how insanely good the Sisters are and how incredibly unique and thematic a wood elf campaign is now.

Quite addictive strategy game, never played anything quite like it. Great for those small 20 minute sessions.

This isn't normally my kind of game. I had ignored it for 5 years.

I shouldn't have. It's one of the most incredible experiences. Visuals, sound, story telling, game mechanics all come together to create some of the most spectacular set pieces I've experienced. While the last set piece of the game did cross a bit into "frustrating", the earlier ones felt incredible even when dying a lot. The seamless reset very much encourages just trying again while an amazing soundtrack plays and the visuals create a dazzling display.

Even if this isn't normally a genre you enjoy...you may still find a lot to like here. This is easily going to be one of the most memorable experiences I've had in awhile. Onto the Ori and the Will of the Wisps!

As someone who only expected a detailed, solid RPG in the same tier as the Witcher 3...I'm happy with it. I've experienced very few bugs (only minor visual glitches with the occasional bugged out NPC and a few subtitles getting stuck on screen). The performance is pretty poor without DLSS enabled, with it I'm managing a consistent 60 FPS on "4k" with RT turned off. On a 2080, RT just doesn't work imo. It drops the framerate way too much to ever be worth justifying and the game looks stellar without it on and everything else maxed instead.

Still early, only 14 hours, but I'm very happy with the game and enjoying my time with it. Is it revolutionary? Not at all. Is it extremely detailed and dense like TW3? Yes.
